Match Brighton & Hove Albion vs Tottenham Hotspur - Sunday 6th October - 16:30KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Johnson went missing as well but we gave them no service 2nd half. Bentancur, Maddison in midfield is too easy to dominate when they start tiring
Brennan gotta bury that big chance at the end of the first half. 3-nil and surely we ain't losing...actually fuck me, we still might have.

Mads never had stamina and ptobs never will. Guy runs about for 60 mins and he's gassing worse than David Haye in his last 5 fights.

Really..your happy so far this season..we are a mess at the back and don't have any control in midfield ?? This is pathetic, but if your happy with these performances then Good luck to you, because this is frankly not acceptable, we are always so easy to play against and so open it's actually terrifying to watch...
It’s more that the ones who have completely ignored the last 5 games and stayed quiet will be out in full force, lapping up this loss and loving every minute of being able to say “I told you so” and slaying Ange.

Utterly embarrassing. From top to bottom. Pure & simple.

Have some friggin humble pie. Thought we was gonna walk the league & cup comps after that run & OT win but the reality is we beat the worst United side in history and struggled mightily to beat proper giants like Coventry + Qarabag + Ferencvaros...we'd have lost them games vs half decent opposition.

Played 7, lost 3, a meagre 10 pts on the board.

But yeah we're challenging this year. Levy & Ange said so.
At half time we looked like we would be 1 point of 4th... Disappointing result but Brighton are a good team and had a full weeks rest and preparation.

Can politely ask what the process is exactly ? I’m being serious here
Well, in short it's executing his style of play (like we did brilliantly in the first half) and winning games. The total capitulation in the second half is not just down to Ange, lots of individual errors in defence and our big players are not showing enough character to rise to the occasion when it gets really tough.

When people made the Redknapp comparisons a few months ago. A few disciples took that as slander.

Redknapp was a hell of a motivator and players loved him.. And he would take us anywhere and everywhere with Bale, Lennon, Modric and Van Der Vaart as 4 of our midfield 5. And when it worked it was absolutely electric. And when our tails were up we could be unstoppable for a few games.. However, when momentum shifted, we couldn't shift it back and were on the end of some ugly ugly days.

Has there ever been a comparison more apt?

It doesn't mean that the current manager is a clown or a fraud or any other pejoratives people want to throw his way. It doesn't mean that he needs to go now..

Redknapp was a good manager for us for a few years. But the lack of tactical sophistication meant that as fun as it was in those 4 years at times.. We had a clear ceiling.

Just a case of the players thinking they have cracked it and are invincible and bang they are quickly brought back to earth

Mentality issues? Oh yes

It's always has been an issue at this club and will never change no matter who the manager, who the players are or what kind of football is played.

Just chill out and enjoy the roller coaster ride, it's only football

I can‘ beleave it!
I stand up when Harry leave the place, everyone looks and think I‘m in the wrong Stadium!
And then I saw we‘ve lost after a 0:2?????

I‘m sic!!!!!!!

Well you don’t know better do you, you fucking idiot. Grow the fuck up, you are meant to be a grown man ffs. Get a grip
I'm pretty sure "normal service has been resumed" was a chant used by those fucking Gooners as and whenever we lost...

I can CLEARLY see you're not one of them... due to you telling me you're not...

But maybe think about the terminology you use... 'cos it sounds a little joyous to me!

Anyway, aren't you supposed to be the racist/inappropriate one...?
I'm sure that's what you were banned for?

Spurs, eh?
Look what they've done to us AGAIN!

I just don’t understand why Ange doesn’t react.
Because he doesn't have a plan B.
Bentancur was struggling all game, first half he lost the ball and they had 2 chances from those turnovers.

He could have made the Sarr and Bissouma subs at 2-2. Gone 4231.
But it's same formation.

Waited for us to go down 3-2, by which time Hurzeler decided to sensibly change and go low block and we created nothing from that.
I thought Brighton were suicidal playing high line in the first half.
The Udogie mistake gives them early hope fro the first goal.
But the game was lost because we are too easy to get around the outside and the defence is reliant too much on 1v1 defending. You lose those battles and there's no cover or structure to get you out of it. That's the risk you take when you play this open. Romero was total shit too.

Ange is the manager mate, part of being a manager is instilling belief and fixing mentality issues; It's also knowing how to manage a game and when to make subs to prevent a bad situation turning into an unmanageable one.

The last person that should be "shell shocked" should be Ange, he should be calm and ready for any scenario, that's what a manager and leader should be capable of, otherwise what's the point?

Second half we didn't just get unlucky or have a few players shit the bed, it was a complete and utter collapse and I am sorry, you can put that entirely on the players but Ange can't take the credit when we win but avoid blame when we decide to be completely unprofessional.

That true but why do we have huge melting moments under Harry, Poch, Jose, Conte and now Ange. We have been mentally weak since I can remember except maybe one season under Poch. All clubs have periods but we seem a bit chronic.

The biggest need is a leader on that pitch for us.

We see it time and time again, that we have the capacity to crumble. It shouldn't be like that and until it's rectified we are going to have days like this.

Strewth.

Five wins a row? Most normal fans would be happy with that.
Coventry - poor performance, could've lost that.

Qarabag - half decent team scores minimum 3 against us, we were shit.

Ferencvaros - yeah yeah played the kids & all that, still the Hungarians deserved get a draw...at the very least.

United - lol. My Sunday pub league team would've won too.

Romero and udogie need a spell on the bench after that embarrassing performance

I kinda agree but the squad alternatives aren’t good enough.
For me, I hold Romero to a higher standard than Udogie because we know what he is capable of. But this season he seems to fail at some of the core duties of a Premier League defender. I wouldn’t object to selling him (provided we got top dollar) and reinvest in someone more consistent.
