Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Burnley just had a run of 3 wins on the trot against Southampton, Wolves and Watford before losing to Villa which allowed them to crawl out of the relegation places which seemed to inevitably lead to relegation just a few weeks ago.

But they are far from safe with same number of points as Leeds - although Leeds have only 2 games left (v Brighton and Brentford) versus Burnely's 3 games left to play (us, Villa and Newcastle), so I expect Burnley to make a fight of it - and in turn we have to be up for it and if we are, we should win comfortably. But we do have to go out and show we want it - otherwise the NLD win will have been for nothing,

My guess is Burnley are going to play for a draw and will look for their points to stay up in their two remaining matches.

If they try to go for it in their quest to not get relegated they know they will get destroyed because that would play right into our hands.

The starting X1 probably picks itself, and there's not a lot of choice amongst the subs, other than maybe to rotate in one or two others.

So it looks like :
Lloris (c)
Sanchez, Dier, Davies
Royal, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon,
Kulusevski, Kane, Son ,

Subs : Gollini, Rodon, Moura, Bergwijn plus 4 youngsters (probably from Craig, White, Winks, Devine, Scarlett and Lavinier.

SPECIAL GUEST - JERMAIN DEFOE

Jermain Defoe will appear as a special guest at half-time following the recent announcement of his retirement from the game.

The popular striker scored 143 goals in 363 appearances for the Club over two spells between 2004-2014, putting him sixth in our list of all-time goalscorers.

At the age of 39, he finally hung up his boots in March following a short stint at former club Sunderland, having amassed well over 300 career goals, including 20 in his 57 caps for England.

Sunday will be JD’s chance to thank our fans for the incredible support they have shown him throughout his career and relive some of his memorable moments in a Spurs shirt.

END OF SEASON AWARDS & LAP OF APPRECIATION

Stay in your seats at the end of the game for our End of Season awards and a lap of appreciation from our players to mark the final home match of the campaign.

Four awards will be presented in total – One Hotspur Player of the Year, One Hotspur Junior Player of the Year, Supporters’ Club Player of the Year and Goal of the Season – all of which have been voted for by our fans.

We’ll also acknowledge our fantastic grounds staff who were recently named Premier League Grounds Team of the Season for 2021/22.

Once the awards have been presented, a video montage of the season’s most memorable moments will be shown on the big screens before the squad, coaches and backroom staff take part in the lap of appreciation as a thank you for your incredible support.

I cannot believe we're at the last home match of the season already. What a ride it's been.

Hard to guess what Burnley might do. They're nowhere near safe yet and a point might not be enough for them, although if they're naive to go for all three points they'll leave with none. But that's the risk they need to take.

But we need to try and recreate last night's atmosphere, last night proved this stadium can be more intimidating than any other in the league when the fans are in the mood.
Said that to the bloke next to me in the south stand last night. It seems crazy that the 0 3 vs United with nuno standing there with folded arms while people were screaming abuse at him and levy was THIS season. Seems years ago.

I wonder if Daniel got a BOGOF deal on the Tifo bags, so we can do it all again on Sunday.

Does this game KO at 12? that's fucking ridiculous!
It's about 5 hours travel from Burnley (including a wee-wee stop), so their team bus will need to leave at about 5:30am. but at least they should get back home before dark.

as said the players need to be up for this one
we need a few early goals to force Burnley out
one goal up they can still sit back and hold on to being down by one gaol until late in the game then try to get the goal they need for a draw,
