We've got to win tomorrow
Not a personal dig towards you but I really sincerely hope we play against you in the final, take you all the way to the final minute of extra time and then Harry Kane smashes a ball which is heading wide but it then comes straight off Mo Salahs face which deflects and rifles into the top corner for an own goal to win the game.

Then every single one of our players runs over to Klopp and celebrates in front of his gurning face whilst Jamie Carragher cries on the sideline and spits at people and Robbie Fowler screams "Next year will be out year kidda!"

Is that too much to ask for?

Since we qualified for next year's CL through the league we have also made sure that RB Salzburg get a spot in the group stage.

Friendship with Ajax over? Red Bull new best friend?

We are in 17th position in UEFA 5 year coefficient chart atm, and with Sevilla (above us in the ranking) not qualifying for CL next season that puts us into 16th position and into Pot 2 (although of we win it we go into Pot 1).

Woolwich are above us in the rankings so if they win EL they are in CL, lose and we are one place higher but still in Pot 2.

Roma are also above us and if they miss out, again we'll be one position higher but in Pot 2.

So we are in Pot 1 or 2 regardless of other results.
The champions of the 6th best league(Zenit) who are below us in coefficient ranking will be in pot 1. That automatically leaves us 18th.

This is how it looks so far

1
Barcelona
Man City
Juventus
Bayern
PSG
Zenit
CL WINNER
EL WINNER

2
Atletico
RM
Liverpool
Chelsea
Napoli
Dortmund
Shakhtar

In the worst case of Liverpool and Woolwich winning the finals, we would need Roma to miss out on their group spot or Porto to fail their qualifying rounds.

And at the moment Roma are 3 points plus a 6 GD off of doing so with one game in hand right? Regardless of how either of the Euro cups goes it's looking increasingly likely we'll be in pot 2 next season as a bare minimum with all the outs we have, which would be great

Good news but if we had taken the Europa league seriously a few years ago we would have not had to worry about our position these last couple of years.

In all honesty, I couldn't give a fuck....

1st pot, 2nd pot, 3rd pot....? Pot rules. :chicco:

Meanwhile: Qualify... Beat cunts. Straight forward enough.

looking like some new good aways next season.... of course its a given we'll get Atleti.( p2)
but happy with either
(p3) Valencia/Salzburg
(p4) Lille/Atalanta

Well the good thing is that 5 years ago we did badly and should improve upon that without too much trouble next season. How come Chelsea got more points this season than liverpool? presumably won more matches but should not be getting same number of points in Europa league as CL.

The most painful defeat in years, will take weeks to get over it. Ranks higher than Newcastle 2016, Portsmouth 2010 and Woolwich 2012.

Conceding penalty on the first minute in a CL final, name one spursier thing!
