Match Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur (A) Sat., 22.2.2020 (12:30)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We'd have won the Champions league with Skipp basically, innit Blakey.

We bought a sexy midfield and are weak as fuck in the middle yet it'll forever the fate or Dier & Sissoko to be to blame.

Why don’t you read the whole conversation. All I was doing was refuting the notion that our midfield was better with Sissoko in it.It wasn’t. Not under Pochettino orMourinho.

And taking Ndombele off, just at the time we were starting to actually have more of the ball in their half, and leave 4 CB’s on, was fucking stupid. Whatever his weaknesses are, he’s one of the few players we have capable of playing an intelligent pass and Chelsea have been vulnerable all season, especially at home. Lo Celso Gad been worse than Ndombele at that point as well. Though I’d have left him on for the same reason.

Spurs had no option but to play defensively. Mad people think we're gunna go to Stamford Bridge and boss Chelsea and bang in loads of goals when bergwin has been here 2 weeks and moura aren't strikers. Never were. Never will be. Can't hold up the ball, haven't got a natural strikers instinct to save their lives. You're living in a fantasy. It was like watching Sunday league out there today.

We've needed a striker since 2014. Levy is a fucking joke. Disgraced this club. Fuck off and take your Bahamas tax haven shite with ya. Fucking crook.

Yep pretty much. And the pundits slagging the way we are playing are crooks. If we played open today with no CDM no strikers and two CBs who seem to last there best we would have been fucking smashed up

Looked a hard task with Jan and Davies both on the pitch at the same time, both are so slow, last 10 mins we looked like anything like a team, this season has been nothing short of a shit show from start to finish.
onwards and upwards COYS

I'm not sure what we have to lose by giving Parrott a run-out. Brainless and moronic attacking. Lucas and Bergwign forced to compete with balls coming out of the clouds. Rudiger and Christensen had them on toast.

Woeful in almost every respect. Those who quote <insert player name here> as even average are deluding themselves. Lloris maybe saved us from a hammering.

Not replacing Llorente should result in those responsible being charged with "criminal neglect of a football club" and barred from office.

I said we should have put in a bid for Mitrovic.

Fifth now our target.

No one got a striker of any note in January, the problem was not addressing it in the summer, not January. If any of you wanted to actually splash like 50m to watch Willian Jose try to shin his way to 5 goals, then I'm not sure how to make you happy.

Keep hearing this being rolled out by the defenders, the reality is, these others teams who "needed" a striker, already have strikers, they were looking for competition for places.

WE HAVE NOBODY.

Just so depressing watching how we now set up and play-not only today but all the time since the not so special one arrived.I know we were struggling a bit under Poch but at least we were attempting to play possession based football on the front foot.I don’t really understand what Mourinho is attempting to achieve and not sure the players will buy into it either.
I would also say that sadly In NDombele it appears we have wasted 60 million on an undoubtably skilful player who will never have the physicality or desire to play in the PL.
Will still be at Wolves and Norwich cheering the boys on and will always be 100% behind the team.Just feel a bit flat at present.COYS!!!

Mate we were passing the ball sideways and losing matches with 70% of the ball and 1 shot on target in a game. Our football has been poor for a long time, long before Mou came here. We went a year without winning an away game for gods sake.

We have just been played off the park for the umpteenth time this season (including games we won).

That was an utter disgrace of a performance AGAIN, who else should be criticized other than the Manager who's putting us out like this, the Club cat?

Madness. Absolute madness. HOW MANY MANAGERS OR "HEAD COACHES" DO WE NEED TO GO THROUGH BEFORE YOU REALISE THAT THE PROBLEMS AT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FOOTBALL CLUB AREN'T THE FUCKING MANAGERS OR THE FUCKING TACTICS BUT THE 4FT 9 CUNT LITTLE DICTATOR WANNABE GANGSTER SITTING IN HIS BOOSTER SEAT SO HE CAN SEE OVER THE STAND, RUNNING THE SHOW AND RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS PREMIER LEAGUE CLUB ONLY HAVING ONE MAIN STRIKER FOR THE PAST 6 YEARS!!!

It is funny in here, there's the Levy fault brigade, the Mourinho is past it platoon, and the odd individual player sniper...we'd be shite in a war though, we'd all be too busy taking pot shots at each other...

I hate to say that Harry gave us some nice football, it wasn't pochettino, what pochettino did was to draw plates on and have players between the lines accepting passes.

Arry the snake gave us the width and have lennon playing well, we didn't have the players but then there's proper overlapping play from the likes of benni assou.

Just want an adventurous mgr who knows how to plant a playmaker and have wingers ready to run

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho speaking to MOTD: "I think you are going to be very bored with me, because I think I'm going to be very repetitive. I'm going to say exactly the same words I told against Leipzig.

"I'm very proud of the players, they gave absolutely everything. We don't have a striker. Our attacking players are not strikers and are in huge levels of fatigue, so very, very difficult for us. No tactical problems, [we were] completely in control of the space, punished by a couple of individual mistakes.

"In the last part of the game when Chelsea was scared of the 2-1 we didn't have that presence, that power, we didn't have that to do more than what we did.

"To create chances you need a target man or fast people that can interchange positions, you need a different dynamic to the team. We don't have a striker and we have tired players, it's as simple as that. We did very, very well. If we score before our opponent, I think we have a chance because we are well organised. But when they score before us and drop back it's very, very difficult for us.

"A defeat is a defeat, but the good thing is, in the last seconds the players were still fighting for a result and that for me is a very important thing."

At this point there's no tactical substitutions based on match state. It's all load management. Not great!

That being said, I think setting up with 3 at the back was a mistake and it hasn't worked all season. Mourinho needs to take some blame for that regardless of the squad.
