Ok here is some ITK news from training yesterday
  • D'Agostino is like Pochs twin, they move and think the same, Poch sits back and watches while he takes team. Freund seemed marginalized
  • Dawson still has a role to play, the attempted game situations and after Poch would talk to the team with feedback, Dawson joined in with this and the two of them had a tactical chat alone after
  • Carroll and Fryers either have knocks or are naughty boys they didn't train with others
  • All emphasis on first touch and pressing in every drill they did
  • Eriksen has definitely had a hair weave
They should cane Chicago today worst team they have faced

It would be disappointing if Poch is to stick it out with Dawson. He is not up with the play unless Poch is planning to stick some good stuff in Dawson's feed bag this season.

Well Vlad seems to be a problem child, Kaboul needs a proper MOT to see if he can do 30 games a season, he hasn't met Jan yet so sadly Poch needs him for at least the bench, would be stupid to dump him until we get better players

Dawson is one of the players that has taken the coaching course, the same one as King. Maybe he's slowly threading into that area.
Hope so: Do not want to lose Vlad and keep Dawson as a player. Vlad and Verts are our best CB pairing I reckon and with Hugo as skipper hopefully, not a lot of room for Dawson unfortunately!

In another 60 game season there is plenty, of course if all playing well Daws is 4th choice, but the others aren't at full tilt yet, didn't the World Cup teach everyone that doing as your told and being committed is priceless, same with Brad, great pros are a dying breed

Fair point: He cannot be our skipper this year though surely!

Thank god. Last couple seasons a lot of the players seemed to be unable to control the ball without either flicking the ball into the air with their first touch or making it bounce off of them. Imo that contributed heavily to the slow turgid play.

Was just pointing out Goalsevelt if you weren't familiar, nothing more

Not familiar! It's rammed down your throat everywhere you go here, fair play to the guy it's the most impressive milking of 15 mins of fame I have witnessed, he probably meets Obama for lunch next week!

Haha impressive, would've thought his thing would entirely circumvent even the expats. Get in there Teddy

Former Tottenham captain Ledley King has been added to the club's Under-18s coaching team.

King, who came through the ranks at Spurs before making his debut in a match away to Liverpool back in 1999, made 268 appearances for the club before retiring at the end of the 2011-12 season in career ravaged by injury.

Following his retirement, King was appointed as Club Ambassador, and now takes on a part-time coaching role with the club's Under-18s.

"Ledley has come through the coaching training programme undertaken by a number of senior players in recent seasons, including Scott Parker, Brad Friedel and Michael Dawson," Academy Manager John McDermott told the club's official website.

"We are now looking for Ledley to spend 2-3 days a week assisting our Under-18 group with their on and off pitch development.

"Using senior players as role models within our Academy is a scheme we are keen to nurture and develop further."

King will work alongside Ugo Ehiogu, with the former Aston Villa and Middlesbrough defender having been coaching at the club for the past 12 months.

Dude should stop while he's ahead. Fair play to him, but just stop.
