Come back Eriksen. Play in the cups here.

:troll:

The way the game is going, with more subs, he'd be a great 70minute impact sub. Mentor to Damsgaard(sp?)...

Personally think if he gets a good nutritional mentor, he could get rid and play, it's his world after all.

In his shoes I'd go 125gram of Flax oil daily (split in 2 doses, morning lunch, or morning dinner), emulsified, yielding near 75g of Alpha Linolenic Acid, stop any bad processed fats in diet. Mineral rich diet plan, masses of greens, probiotics. 6months IMO his bio markers would show a 'resolution of inflammation' and may allow him to be encouraged by MD's to take it out if he wishes.

And as a professional footballer with the worlds best nutritionists and medical advice you think hes not getting his needs met

Not sure if it's courage or madness for him to even consider returning. Surely it will have a huge impact on him mentality which would also effect his performances?

He's set up for life no doubt with the money he's made. He should ire on the side of caution and spend his time with his family.

Daley Blind plays with exactly the same devise as Eriksen. The condition and circumstances will obviously be entirely personal but being examined and tested is exactly what is required to ascertain if he can play or not.

If he is given the all-clear, just as Blind has then if he suffers the same his device will kick in (as it's supposed to do) and jolt the heart back into rhythm, that's the function of the device.

Mason, worked really hard to get back into shape following his head injury, it was during this period it became clear to him that he wouldn't be able to play again. This training was part of the process for him to come to terms with his injury and help make his decision. The same may be true with Eriksen as he attempts to focus his thoughts on a return.

Blind didn't actually die on the pitch though to be fair, so I don't think you can compare them in such a way. Fair play to him if he does want to return at the highest level possible. Right or wrong it shows some serious balls.

That makes no difference other than what we saw and experienced which didn't sit well with those that watched. Blind was just lucky that when he collapsed against Valencia it didn't result in a cardiac arrest as Eriksen's did.

Blind has since collapsed again whilst wearing the ICD when it went off during a game last season, when it goes off it's jolting the heart muscle back into an appropriate rhythm which can obviously feel very weird for those experiencing it, hence his collapse (I don't know if collapse is the right word but he had to lie down as it was going off, he remained conscious throughout. He walked himself off the pitch once everything was in order and was back training in a couple of days).

The ICD is there to prevent a cardiac arrest, so things are quite safe for him. There will obviously be differences that are individual to every patient fitted with them, just as there are with people's hearts not fitted with them. These individual differences may or may not determine if he can play again but that's what the tests are for, to ascertain this.
