Trippier with a bit more pace and worse at defending. I won’t lose any sleep about him leaving the EPL.
Eh his passing range is lightyears ahead of Trippier. Trippier has a good cross on him and is strong from set pieces but Trent can play unbelievable, defence splitting crossfield balls for fun. He's an insanely useful lockpick for a team to have, but yes can't defend for shit.
Agree to disagree - never rated him as I can imagine him being a Porro-esque liability for us. And he plays for Liverpool and is clearly just another footballer whose whole ambition is to play for one of the ‘moneyed’ clubs.
If he never ends up in Saudi I may have a grudging acknowledgement that he can pass a ball okay but I’ll reserve that judgement until the end of his career.

With regards to TAA, I think it is because he claimed he was staying and that he was one of them and wanted to be the next Gerrard etc., then ran down his contract and left similar to how Sol Campbell did. Obviously TAA did not leave to go to Manchester United but I think that is possibly the only worse thing he could have done. That said, I think most people thought he should have been the one sold if it was a choice between him, VVD and Salah, and they constantly battered and bullied him for not being able to defend.
From his POV when you have Real Madrid in your ear telling exactly what you should do to join their club (run the contract down) then he's going to do everything in his power to do that because they weren't going to pay for him.
I actually get why Liverpool fans are pissed but the booing is dumb, it's not that deep - honestly.
