Imagine the wankathon if they had snuck in the backdoor to the Champions League? They have been distinctly average this season with occasional showings in some matches. Their celebrations in beating Norwich 5-4 FFS, you'd thought they had won the league that day.

Sevilla whilst only finishing 7th in La Liga were already back to back holders of the Europa League. Whilst also winning it for a 5th time last night.

Yes that was cringe but their worst was celebrating a draw with West Brom by holding hands and bowing to the Kop.

Now I have no love for West Ham, but...
Compare the coverage of half a dozen of theirs throwing bottles at the Man u coach last Tuesday to the total lack column inches of Scousers having a tear up last night?
I wonder if their chairman blames others for this like John Smith did over Hysel

Yeah but it was West Ham, so any bad publicity is more than acceptable and everyones duty..Fuck em.

What ever he's on, I'll have some thanks!

Typical example of someone who still looks at Liverpool as the same club from when he was a player there years ago when although they never challenged seriously for the title, they did at least have CL every single year. It isn't the same club now though. They've been in the CL what once in 6-8 years, something like that. They are not a top four team any more so clearly the obvious answer to Owen's question is: any of the teams above them in the league....for a start. Then any clubs in Spain, Germany, Italy, France who challenge for titles. The list is at least a dozen teams long. Liverpool will be better next season, is my guess, but they will struggle to attract the very best players and the likes of leicester, us, Woolwich, city, chelsea, utd, even west ham and southampton, are going to be challenging for top four next season and you'd have thought will have improved (except Woolwich, who will be their usual selves, but always manage CL despite the Wenger handicap). Are Liverpool going to become a big club again next season? You woudln't want to move there as a player in the expectation that they are would you...

It's funny, even over here in Aus they're as delusional as it comes. it started out that they couldn't win the league anymore.... Then struggled to make top 4 anymore.... Then have seen clubs like us and City waltz past them and they can't compete with us anymore. Now West Ham and Soton.

What's next? Struggling to keep up with the Toffees for league position. Oh how the mighty have fallen, shame as their fans are still stuck in the '80s where LFC ruled all!

They're a damn midtable club now with a champions arrogance.
