Just read something on the BBC site about the Ballon d'Or. Chris Sutton think Virgil van Dijk is the third best player on the planet. Fucken unbelievable. I mean, that's amazing that someone can say that with a straight face. Even more amazing that it can be reported at all
I just want to see these claims backed up. What does he do that other CB's don't? What makes him so elite? Other than the price they paid for him I can't see any justification whatsoever.

The 4 AM is because I am working in Hong Kong I know that will be a shock to some of you but I actually have a job Project Manager an education and someone actually pays me quite a bit of money to do what I do. If you don't want fans from other clubs commenting on your site stop them from joining . You can then proceed to slap each other on the back and avoid talking about football with anyone who is not small minded like a few on here. No doubt I will be told to fuck off several times by most of you but there may be one or two who don't mind a bit of conversation about football.

So, we all know that Mark "Lawro" Lawrenson is a bit of an idiot - to put it nicely - not least because of his intense Lolerpool bias (I don't think they've lost a game in the last two years of his BBC weekly predictions). And just when you thought his bias / obsession with Lolerpool couldn't be any more intense (and bear in mind he's meant to be a neutral pundit working for a public service broadcaster), I offer you this - his prediction for our game against Wet Spam this weekend which includes a delightful non-sequitar (highlighted in blue below) about Lolerpool's attacking prowess. I mean, seriously, am I missing something or does this comment bear no relation to the preceding / subsequent sentences?:

Tottenham got the job done in their last game against Cardiff without being too easy on the eye, which has been the story of their season so far.
Spurs have not been looking that impressive, but that does not matter as long as you keep getting results.
I keep getting stopped in the street and asked "what is wrong with Liverpool's front three?" but I just go "played eight, won six, drawn two - yeah, they've got massive problems".
This will be a tough game for Tottenham, though. West Ham's revival was ended in their defeat by Brighton, but we know now what they are capable of and I think they are solid enough to hold Spurs.
The key to that happening is for the Hammers to hold up Harry Kane. He was excellent for England against Spain, so it is West Ham's turn to deal with him now.

I think there are plenty of people who are happy to discuss football with supporters of other teams. The problem is that every season we get Liverpool fans popping up to gloat when they’re ahead of us, who then disappear as soon as we inevitably overtake you.
More specifically, I think we’re all sick to death with the media love-in about Klopp, Salah, and ‘the world’s greatest team in the history of forever’ that is constantly shoved down our throats 24/7. That’s probably the single biggest reason most football fans can’t stand Liverpool. Then we log on to a Spurs forum and see a Liverpool fan posting. It’s bound to annoy some on here.
