March rolls around, knowing they're gonna probably win the PL they became insufferable acting like Woolwich fans saying all sorts of crazy shit. I'm just glad an English manager won a Trophy this season - also Newcastle just out played them simple.
Also happy for Trippier he really played well considering.
I never get the winning before us argument, it makes no sense, we’ve won 17 trophies - this was their first real trophy since 1955 - we’ve won a shit ton since that date.
If we win the Europa league this season (we won’t of course) are we going to say we won a trophy before Man City?

Our squad under Pochettino was undoubtedly better than that of Newcastle's, and it was during that time where Pochettino and key players choked.
This season, iit will take something I haven't seen from this manager and group of players. It ain't happening.
The notion of believing that Postecoglou can get us over the line with his brand of football and have the presence and strength of mind within him,translated to the players is quite frankly unfathomable.

A semi-final slot would be about right in my opinion, with this squad, and the quality of teams in the competition.
I think Newcastle next season amd if they keep the majority of their squad will win it, or at the very least do better than us. Belief is there after yesterday, although being fair their league form has also been erratic.
The difference for me is that they can batter teams, not just the scoreline but the force, energy and quality of their play. Nothing like that from us, even when we have had the odd big win.
Yes,, Howe has been at Newcatle that bit longer but he instilled much of what I mention very quickly.
