I suspect that’s nonsense.

They’ll just have to settle it like true honourable Scousers ; in time-honoured tradition.

Let it be so .

Probably not compared to some of their top teams, but they were regularly a top four side.

Not the best but made the most of what talent he had through hard work.
700 appearances is incredible regardless. I wonder what the median number of appearances is for a (outfield) Premier League player? Less than a hundred I should imagine.
Off of the top of my head (and I didn’t catch the beginning of his career), didn’t he win a Champions League, a Europa, a couple of League Cups and a couple of FA Cup wins — could be wrong as I didn’t check. A medal collection that would make Harry Kane drool.

He was the Ben Davies of LFC. And he was no saint in how he conducted himself. Stabbed Benitez in the back, refused to play left back when asked, was caught up in a common assault case…
It’s was harsh but Salah made his own bed. You don’t do what he did, he thinks he is bigger than the club. Truth is his legs are going and he can’t accept it’s over at this level for him. Contrast that with Son who when the same happened to him behaved with such dignity.
bit Of a false equivalence here - Salah is just months removed from being player of the year on a title winning team. 47 G/A.

If it was Son, it would be happening in December ‘22.

Of course it’s going to be hard for him to accept.

It’s not lost on me that it’s guys like Shearer, Linekar, Seedorf and Henry - all elite players in their day, that have had the most reasonable take on it.

Carragher told no lies.
His bit about the Egypt/AFCON was a low blow, didn’t he dismiss the tournament months ago?

Would he call De Bruyne a Chelsea reject? Palmer a Man City reject?

Liverpool hadn’t won a big trophy in 12 years before Salah arrived. He was a dominant player at Roma and he’s repaid his fee nearly 40 times over.

Carragher can’t help but get personal when called out on his BS.

He won 2 more medals for Liverpool than VVD has and has 3 more runner ups. From an era where Liverpool were less competitive, technically.

"People who are surprised with this don't watch Egyptian football, which is totally understandable.

Those who do/did will know this is literally EXACTLY what Salah is like. He did worse at Al Mokawloon. When Basel were interested in him, Al Mokawloon were negotiating what would have either been a good price for them or failing that wanted to wait till after the 2012 Olympic Games so that Salah's profile would rise and others would come in for him.

Salah went on a sports talk show and was literally begging to be allowed to leave, he even brought the official documents Basel had sent to Al Mokawloon to be broadcast on TV. The sports show then talked the Al Mokawloon owner, and then Salah proceeded to argue/beg him on live TV to accept Basel's offer and let him leave. All Al Mokawloon wanted were an extra 500k, which is literally priceless to them and pennies to Basel, Salah proceeded to blow that up and he ended up leaving for the price Basel wanted."
