That article talks about home grown players like terry and then goes on to use examples in their current your setup that were mostly poached from abroad. Unless I'm mistaken and Kenedy and tononi grew up as neighbours in parsons green

Hasn't he overseen the sales of De Bruyne, Lukaku and Schurrle?

It's their ability to go an hoover up all the talent from other teams, by offering them stupid wages at such a young age. The kids then think they've made it. City also seem to have a similar youth set I believe. Weren't they trying to entice Marcus Edwards with like £300k a year? Whilst he's on a paltry £50k at us. The system is broken when vast amounts of money is being banded about in the youth set ups.

The words of a desperate man clinging onto his job with his fingernails. Every chav I know wants him out, they can't stand him, his player recruitment is laughable and even worse when you consider the players they have sold who have then excelled. Wrongly or rightly he is being blamed for their downfall, all fingers point to him.

Does make me laugh though, he mentions Lampard but forgets they bought from West Ham. The one player he could justify a claim to have brought through is Bertrand but he can't mention him as they sold him to Southampton (who are above them in the League) where he is thriving and has nailed down his place as first choice whilst competing with Rose for a left back spot for England.

Whilst trying to say it is only Kane who has made it, he forgets to mention Bentaleb who has been injured this season, Mason has still played more first team minutes than the whole of Chelsea academy have combined over the past ten years, same with Carroll and Onomah if you combine their minutes. He also neglects to mention players that have come through the academy whilst not making it at Spurs they are enjoying a career in football like Townsend, Daniels, Smith, Caulker and Livermore. Not trying to big up our academy in this respect, all of us have been moaning at the lack of a breakthrough ourselves until Livermore came through, but nonetheless we have outperformed this mob.

Having pointed out that we bought Alli & Dier he then goes on to name Traore and Kennedy both of whom they bought, he did't mention Zouma but they bought him too. All the other names he mentions only two of them have not been purchased.

The real story here however is that the parents of Chelsea's academy are restless and are questioning the policy. Sounds like the shit is hitting the fan big time.

You can smell their envy though, why mention us at all? They are jealous of our squad, jealous of our manager, jealous of the connection we have with our squad. It's beautiful.

Youth hostile
Michael Emenalo has been saying words about Tottenham. In particular, Chelsea’s technical director has been questioning their production of youth.

“We try to remind them it’s not just a Chelsea problem,” Emenalo said. “That’s what they hear. But with all the hoopla around Tottenham, it’s the one player.

“The one key player is Kane, Dele Alli they bought from MK Dons, Tom Carroll is a peripheral player and Eric Dier they bought.

Harry Kane is indeed both a) a Tottenham academy product, and b) rather good. Dele Alli was indeed bought from elsewhere, as was Eric Dier. Tom Carroll is also a ‘peripheral player’ – although his 27 games this season is more than Ruben Loftus-Cheek (ten) has been afforded.

Is Emenalo not forgetting England international Ryan Mason, with 65 Spurs appearances to his name? Or Nabil Bentaleb, who delightfully has also played 65 games for Spurs? Maybe Josh Onomah, who has played seven league games this season? Don’t forget Andros Townsend, an academy product sold for £12million recently.

But no, Spurs have only produced Harry Kane, a striker who has scored 58 goals in 97 games, is reportedly wanted by Europe’s top clubs, and is firing Tottenham to a Premier League title challenge. Even if it was only him they have developed, that isn’t a bad record.

Comedy Gold from Emenalo. Maybe he's feeling the heat. Mason or Bentaleb have probably played more PL matches than the whole of their Academy for the last 5 years. If they'd developed someone like Pritchard, we'd probably never hear the end of it. With us, we've so many, they've never heard of him.

I was pissed off when Maureen went there for 2 reasons:
1. I thought he'd win them trophies;
2. Emenalo would be on his bike.

Delighted that Emenalo still there, may he have a long career there, brown-nosing Roman and living in complete denial.

Keep up the good work Michael!!

Best situation for me would be for Leicester to obviously drop points against United and Everton with us winning the league and Leicester absolute smashing these cunts on the last day. Not only do they lose to Leicester, it means nothing because we have made them all cry by winning the league.

Even better if we are drawing the Newcastle game late into injury time - their drubbing by Leicester ends and they all go mental lifting John Terry aloft as they've cost us the league.........then we nick it at the death

...and in the shock and disappointment, they drop John Terry on his head snapping his neck in the process.

£50k per week wage demands from Solanke, shouldn't have paid Loftus-Cheek £60k pw you dumb fucks.
The club is killing football.

FFS most of our first team squad don't even earn that if reports are to be believed.

Their whole youth set up stinks, ruining young players careers by giving them too much too young.

That's an unbelievable amount of money considering Eriksen is allegedly being offered a wage-doubling which would effectively see him earn the same weekly gage as Loftus-Cheek.

That club is a joke. Their whole identity is just splashing money; it's tough to really blame the kid when it's Chelsea we're talking about. They set the expectation, he's just calling them on it.
