ETH was getting mass hype for the fact that he already joined United in May and had them all back in training earlier than every other club.
They have NOTHING to show for it.
They have square pegs for round holes and haven't fixed any of their deficiencies at all despite spending more millions. It's got to be the most disjointed team in the league.
Weak full backs, a useless center half and tiny one as their marquee singing, a keeper past his best. No creativity or solidity from their midfield two and trying to shoehorn effectively the same player twice into the team. No width and a 37 year old shadow that used to be in the top two players in the world. Individually these guys might turn it on in specific matches but on the whole there's no cohesion.
They certainly aren't buying into ETH's ideas, or can't.
Conte would have fixed them. Even discounting signings they'd have made under Conte (they might have brought back Lukaku for example) he'd have them drilled.

Probably would have got a tune out of Pogba, kept him. Signed Perisic, maybe Lukaku.

saw their game last week and my impression was the players don’t like their manager, want him swapped for someone they believe in. He’ll be gone in quick time and i expect they’ll get poch in.
What doesn't stack up is if they're gonna back ETH then they've done relatively fuck all in the trf window.
- Eriksen and Bruno are interchangeable and certainly shouldn't be played at teh same time.
- Martinez is someone you add to a good team; not someone you build around.
They've pissed the rest of the window away humping DeJong's leg.
I was fearing them having a 300m-400m trf window; over-paying but getting some bangers in to kickstart a new era. Foolish me.
