The brand furs! The BRAND!!!

The Russell Brand! Think Charlton. QPR. Palace!

Ok maybe not Palace.

I've never really cared one way or another about West Ham but this season they are hilarious . Maybe they are trying to be the funniest brand going , Jo , Russel ... actually it's not hard to top that pile is it?

Same. In fact I don't even mind them as I know quite a few appy ammers. They are just an irrelevance we can laugh at. But this season it's brand new levels of fun.

Matt Lawless - Wet Spam fan - so deep in the pocket of titchy, dopey and Brady that he's lost any ability to be objective. For example he picks out how they were in debt and thanks to the three robber barons they are now a well run club. Well excuse me for pointing this out....they are still in massive debt to Sullivan rather than a bank. But it's still debt on which interest is being paid ( more interest than Sully could ever get from a bank - funny that - see how this really works ? ) the real big difference now between the icemen & the porn baron is they are now in debt but own nothing against which to secure future debt ! Their whole economic expansion is reliant on the terms that Sullivan and his Cayman Island company allow them to have. People like Lawless should be less economical with the truth, what has gone on @ West Ham is morally wrong.

I think the dildo brothers were shocked that interested buyers weren't knocking their door down over the summer, before the first minute was even played at the "London Stadium".

They have no long-term plan, apart from stripping the club for assets and re-branding everything in sight as "London" this and that. Why else all the loan signings? They're not trying to build for the future.

if you knew anything you would know they are not allowed to sell yet.

“Rebranding ourselves was really important with the new stadium. We are in the London Stadium and we added the word London to our crest because we thought it had real global appeal.
“Nobody else does it and that's exactly where we are. We are in the heart of London, in the foothills of the financial centre.

“We have the best stadium. There are some great stadiums in this country but there is only one Olympic stadium and it's ours and branded ours and it has really had a dynamic impact on the things that we can do"

1) Branding should represent something aspirational to be truely significant and the aspiration needs to be global based not localised

What a brand means is developed over time till it becomes integral. I.e Apple, Google Etc. Placing a city name against a brand name does not work unless your a multi city brand. For example Disneyland Paris works because there is Disneyland in LA and Disneyland Hong Kong. Therefore West Ham United London is daft as there is not West Ham United Paris etc. Nobody else does it as their brand name is already bigger than the place name and can stand on its own.

2) "we have the best stadium" - this is given as statement of fact by the Baroness. However, its highly subjective in reality and not factual. Best for what ? That's the question & to be grammatically correct she should be saying "we have been allowed some use of the best stadium...."

3) "There is only one Olympic Stadium" yes, but did it not dawn on you that the "Olympic" bit refers to a once every 4 year Sports Day event which in no way is of as much value as you seem to believe, as it refers to a completely different set of sports. It's like a child saying "we played football on the indoor netball court". Beside it's not called the Olympic Stadium anymore is it? I thought it was the London Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Park.

4) "it's ours and branded ours" err. Karen....it belongs to US the long suffering tax payers of this great land. Your employers are allowed to use it on a limited basis. It is not YOURS and it never can be or will be. Nor is it "Branded yours". It is debatable what the ridiculous place will eventually be called. But it won't be called "West Ham United's x Y z stadium"..... Kids are allowed a kick about in the local park. But they don't then own the fucking park do they Karen ?

.... bullshit baffles brains. I hate this woman with a passion and enjoy picking on her bollocks, I won't accept a peer of the realm who is so lax of the truth for blatant self gain.

& Next time a Wet Spam fan mentions "their" lovely stadium don't forget to remind them that you, I and everyone else own it. Not Waste Ham. It's our Stadium.

Let her have her day in the sun. They are 15th in the Brand Table after all, something she has clearly worked so hard for. To be nearly at the bottom of the PL Doloite Brand Table is a true open bus top moment, they are just ahead of "The Tigers", "The Eagles", "The Swans" & "The Hornets" . T-shirts and DVDs will be available soon "The Ironmen" not quite the worst Brand in the PL.

I have always found it hilariously ironic that a team hailing from an area where Cockney rhyming slang was prevalent called itself the irons.

for the uninitiated iron is short for iron hoof - poof

Reflecting on the Brand stuff again.....what stops Millwall, Charlton, Orient, Palace becoming something similar, Crystal Palace London for example ? Sod all. So that's probably why they don't do it. In no way is London a brand name that can be protected. Nor can you protect the rest of it, given West Ham is a place name as well. It can only be a matter of time until they add the fucking post code to their Brand ! Maybe the Royal Mail might be well placed to sponsor them at that point ?

Whenever I hear that all I can think of is this... adding "London" to your name in a desparate attempt to claw some credibility...

Fucking hell, the delusion seeping out of that article is unreal.

How long before they completely re-brand themselves at the London Hammers, or Hammers of London? Dropping the 'West Ham United' part? I think I prefer the sound of MK Hammers, once they leave the OS.

They talk about tradition and culture yet they are single handedly destroying the already existing traditions associated with the club. Whilst I dislike them immensely and laugh at the their plight. A small part of me cannot help but feel sorry for some of those poor cunts having their club ripped apart like that.

Brady is right about one thing the product at an inferior price, although it could be argued that for the price the punter is getting an inferior amount of players on show along with some really shit football. Unless they re-brand the sport as a circus or tragicomedy.

True, they've loaned Wet Spam £49.2m, and get just under £3m a year in interest from the club (roughly 6%).

We've seen her after a day in the sun, I think it's our duty to prevent it happening again...

This quote from Noble....
"In a way, the club was run like a circus in some stages over the last 10 or 20 years.

“They [Gold, Sullivan, Brady] have brought in good players and put in money and that was what was needed. That is why the club is moving the way it is.”

He does realise they have taken more out than put into the club right?!?!? Also they are more circus like than they have ever been. :harrylol:

Thanks for the figures mate. So the lovely owner who is saving them is actaully charging them 24 x the Bank of England base rate ? Oh and not disturbing the tax payers as he's got the money being received in the Cayman Islands.

As for EX possible future England player Mark Knobel Gobble. Clearly he's got to say what supports his pay masters best. If he was to truly believe what he has stated it would be final proof that we should scrap the state schooling system once and for all.
