Ok. First, your conclusions are absolutely spot on, but Sporting actually has a reason to lie, 50% of the sales of their most valuable players are going straight to the bank to make up for the loans they asked for. (they invested a lot on this season, and actually if you like football, the portuguese league will be fun to follow up this year)

Stating this, Sporting did not play William in their last 4 matches, including the playoff of the Champions League. Why the hell would you not play one of your best players if you are not willing to sell? Of course they wanted. They sold Adrien last minute without having a substitute.
The Spammers were probably just thinking about how much he would cost (he is not worth it IMO, Adrien on the other way was a bargain for Leicester) and decided not to go for it.

Did they say they weren't willing to sell him?
I think it's basically Sullivan said that SCP had accepted a bid but it didn't happen becuase there wasn't time to do a medical.
Then went on to question his fitness.
We all know you can provisionally agree to buy a player pending the outcome of a medical. So that makes no sense.
I think the gripe is Sullivan is claiming it's their fault for accepting a bid so late. He was scapegoating them for his failures as he did Bilic.
They are saying they never accepted his bid
They have no reason to lie about that and also publicly call on Sullivan to show proof.

They were willing to sell with the right offer, if they offered 15mil, they would have turned it down.

You can ask for the price tag of a certain player without making an actual offer.

Sporting has no "reason" to lie, Spammers are pathological liers. Choose one.
