It was the same in the 24/25 season where we refused to sack Ange despite our domestic form being beyond horrible, I remember we threw away a 2-0 lead against an utterly awful Leicester team and calling for him to be sacked then, but the club dragged its heels.

Yeah we won the Europa, but as Villa just proved, winning that isn't the flex it used to be.

I’m having a tough time feeling bad for them. Literally EVERYONE wanted us relegated, which was a learning experience for this Yank. Im finding myself leaning more to a fuck them, fuck everyone, us against the world type emotion. You all wanted us down? Guess what, we’re still fucking here, now fuck right off.
Right or wrong, that’s what I’m feeling right now. That and a huge amount of fucking relief!

Went for groceries this evening. Wanted a big, fuck-off ribeye to celebrate the win and staying up.

What's the first thing I see walking into the local Kroger, but some fat twat who's managed to stuff himself into a "Visit Rwanda" Arse kit that that probably too small for him when he ordered it during COVID.

Nobody benefits from watching a club that should be a mainstay of your country's first division being dragged down to the lower reaches by sheer mismanagement. It does nothing for the league, nothing for the other clubs, and nothing for the overall quality of the competition.

We would be made better by having a respectable local rival in the comp to bring intensity and competition, competition makes everyone better. Spam used to provide that on their day but they've been run even worse than we have and we don't benefit from it. We are not better off playing a ho hum away fixture at Hull instead of to a local rival, even a minor one
