At the time, Levy was right to accept the invite to the European Super League.

Its only hindsight that makes it a terrible decision.

I think looking at what has happened to us and the emergence of Newcastle hindsight makes it look the right call

Tongue not that firmly in cheek , but I am glad it failed

We essentially wasted 4 years trying to be something we are not.

If it’s trophies people want, then it’s far more likely to come with a Pochettino/Ange type than a Jose/Conte.
My counter-take would be that trophies are possible under any of them, but near-impossible to accomplish without the full dedication and investment in the competitive suitability of the squad.

The idea that a decorated manager was a suitable REPLACEMENT for the proper squad completion, and that those decorated managers did not themselves REQUIRE that proper squad completion, was the fatal flaw.

Forget the money. Spurs squad has been an unfinished product in terms of positional depth and tactical suitability at the end of every single transfer window for at least five years, with no sign of abatement in that regard.

Oh here's a good one it's probably time for: Poch's football wasn't that attractive.

Very eager and aggressive to regain possession, and push a high line up the pitch and then....just kinda knock it around the edge of the box just like Conte ball.

Fair shout. At least over time.

The legacy that became Poch was in no small part carried by a few things, outside the actual style of play.

- The novelty
- The emergence of some players; the phenomenon that was Kane, of Dele from day one basically, Son being Son, and of Walker & Rose as unlikely stars as they were bombing on down the line.
- Poch's demeanour

...And Toby & Jan combining like Voltron.

Absolutely no way a proper Spurs fan hears the name "Campbell" in the context of "behaviour was so reprehensible" and doesn't know exactly who they are talking about.
Extraordinary how certain members of the forum don't consider me a fan just because I don't spew hate and bile....
It's not an approach to life that's particularly healthy imo....
Supporting Spurs doesn't mean dropping to these levels of poison..
You support Spurs your way and I will in mine.

You refused to condemn the Chavs for their racism and anti-semetism and deem those that do to be "poison"..... That's got nothing to do with the 'kind' of fan you are; that's just a botched, rather un-savoury, version of virtue signalling.

The fact that you claim to be above condemning our most disliked rivals and the likes of Campbell (embracing your ignorance of the matter as a virtuous thing); yet slag off our lads for tenuous - often self-imagined - reasons and slag off Americans (and our American fans) keenly.... Well, that makes you a hypocrite and a bit of a shit supporter (should you indeed be arguing that you are one).
