RDZ seems like he fucking loves him.His second touch is almost always a tackle.

Gallagher isn’t compatible with RDZ style of play in the long run. That’s a red flag if so.

The reason why we’re in this position is because we tried to turn every game into the battle of the somme. He is tactically very useful. Best pressing player at the club and good in a war. He won’t be a starter when Maddison and Simons are back fully but he is far from the player we need out the door most.
Yeah horses for courses player. Good to have around the squad but defo don't want him starting as a 10 every week.He is tactically very useful. Best pressing player at the club and good in a war. Swapping BJ for him was a good bit of business. BJ probably be getting relegated next year now.Weird fanbase.
Without his contribution, we are talking about how we get back from the Championship.
Any criticism is ridiculous.

It's clear RDZ likes those two for their off the pitch impact as much as on it. They are proper professionals who leave it all on the pitch. That should be the bare minimum but somehow the standards were allowed to fall to the gutter.Gallagher really stepped up the past few weeks, just like Palhinha. Without the 2 of them we'd 100% be relegated. Gallagher set the tone early yesterday. Pressed aggressively and played direct in the first 10 minutes. He did the same against Villa. Palhinha won us the game yesterday and against Wolves.
Are they ideal players if we want to get back to dominating teams and making top 4? I think Gallagher can work in a deeper role and the option of playing him in the 10 in tougher games is huge. He's a big player for us now and he'll play plenty of games next season under RDZ. Palhinha? I'm not sure. He's a cult hero now and a fans favourite but I don't see us becoming a top team with him playing in the midfield every week as he's too limited on the ball.
The 2 of them are proper dual winners and we needed them to get out of relegation. I'll forever be grateful. Gallagher's future for us under RDZ will be if he can function as a more box to box 8 and can progressively build up play. I think he's too limited to be our number 10 (Maddison, Kulusvski and Simons all far mor creative). Gallagher's future will be in a deeper role so lets see if he can build on that.
Yup I agree but that midfield was a short term approach to avoid relegation. Bentancur the anchor and the other 2 played as aggressive ball winners. It was a relegation battling midfield. It's clear RDZ likes those two for their off the pitch impact as much as on it. They are proper professionals who leave it all on the pitch. The emergence of the Bentancur/Palhinha/Gallagher midfield trio is what ultimately saved us. Proper experienced professionals who will not be bullied.
Gray/Bergvall are not ready yet. Sarr is not good enough and Biss couldn't give two fucks.
