Even Johnson would benefit from balls into space. Against them on Sunday, he started his run, if Porro played the ball between the 2 defenders, Johnson is through at the box. Instead, Porro plays it outside the widest defender, sending Johnson wide and he fluffs it.

These kind of things are easy to tweak but it doesn't happen. The players look worse for it and so does the team.

that is something that should be worked out on the training ground, where coaches can stop/start game and tell/show players what they want

If we were to finish 4th/5th and win the League Cup, FA Cup and UEFA Cup (and the Community Shield and Super Cup), all we’d hear is that Spurs “never win the League” or that the only competition that matters in Europe is the Champions League.

If we did manage to win the League or European Cup, it would be, “only once/it was a fluke/every other team died”.

We need to win trophies regularly and finish high in the League every season and it would take a while for other fans to give us even grudging respect.

I couldn’t give a flying fuck what some cunt thinks about Spurs winning the League cup - I don’t respect their club or them or any of their shit opinions.

Honestly, winning the league cup and finishing 10th would be far from a travesty.

ETH has been to 3 finals the last 2 seasons and won 2 of them, Arteta has had the scum shitting their pants at the sight of the finishing line the last 2 seasons - 10 years from now, which one will count and which one will everyone forget about?
 
We need to go 3 at the back to give us enough protection to play as high and adventurous. I'm not even joking though after seeing Maddison hugging Arteta 20 minutes in yesterday he can sit on the bench let Bergvall play.

System don't get the best out of absolutely anyone. Said end of last window, either change the players or the manager we done neither yet expect different results from the same things.

No it's not. It's to beat everybody else in your path to claim the trophy. To prove that no-one stands in your way. Seeing Spurs lift a trophy is a euphoric feeling. I remember the old days when we used to actually win them, and it was cloud nine stuff. The best.

The oppo banter will happen even if you win ten trophies in a row. They'll always find something else to chant about and so they should. The banter songs - some of which are fucking funny (when you're singing them and sometimes even when they're coming at you) - are all part of the wonder of supporting a club. Let the clowns sing nonsense and spout bollocks on the internet and down the pub. That beautiful silverware tells them to fuck off because they weren't good enough that time to win it.

I think it might be risky to play Solanke 90 minutes, 2 games a week. There probably is enough games in the near future to give him the required minutes. But i might agree that its a good idea to start him and play 45 minutes on Wednesday. And then again vs Brentford. No need to risk injuries by over playing him straight away.

start Dom, play 60 mins, score a goal or 2, bring Son or Kulusevski from the bench and play them down the middle.
