I've come to realise, that being nice, and fair, and measured about football doesn't get you anywhere.

The bad guys always seem to win, and being rational has NO place in this game ...

So, that said, and fueled by the pain of Sunday, I fucking hope we FUCK THESE CUNTS UP ..
.don't just WIN, fucking HUMILIATE THEM in their own back yard... So that even their own fans question their life choices.

This is fucking payback for 1987, where they systematically ruined a 15 year old me's ENTIRE SUMMER of what SHOULD'VE been joyous celebration, and coming of age...

But NOOOOO, I had to contend with Coventry fucking City beating the odds, and our kit missing half the HOLSTENS...

if only they'd do that with AIA!

The point of winning is to gain respect. Who the fuck respected us in '99 and '08? Or our Audi cups?

I could win a sprint with a bunch of 5 year olds, but no one would respect me either.

The whole thing is just a money-spinning exercise.
You're comparing a competitive trophy to a preseason tournament? Are you kidding me?

The point of winning is winning.

I can't believe you'd rather win nothing at all than a league cup because you're afraid that rivals wouldn't give us enough respect. Mate, they'll never give us enough respect. Who the fuck cares.

Odobert, Bergvall and Gray were starting weel in, week out last season

I expect all three to start this game but to be honest, I don't think we will see it

To dare is to do! Prove me wrong Ange!

I'd play (probably not Ange tho)
Vicario
Spence Dragusin Van de Ven Udogie
Bergvall Gray Sarr
Odobert Solanke (Richy) Werner

Should be enough to win it.

But there's no reason not to focus on all three of those.

OK winning the League Cup doesn't have a lot of prestige and I'd rather the FA Cup or EL. But seriously, I'd love to win it regardless. I want Tottenham to win trophies. Being in the top six in the league and winning zero trophies has a lot less prestige connected to it.

Yep. Being there at Wembley back in 2008 seems like another lifetime ago. I’d take winning it again over the fourth placed trophy that we do nothing with.

I didn't say I would rather win nothing but I'd rather not risk an injury to VdV for example. We have a squad, they need to be rotated.

Moore to come on.

These games and Europa league games need those coming in to really push on and stake claim to be starting.

I know everyone hates Werner but he's the only winger we have who actively tries to beat his man and get to the byline.

Watch Werner in person and watch how often he indicates to play the ball into space for him to run on to.
And then watch how often it's played at his feet instead.

Even Johnson would benefit from balls into space. Against them on Sunday, he started his run, if Porro played the ball between the 2 defenders, Johnson is through at the box. Instead, Porro plays it outside the widest defender, sending Johnson wide and he fluffs it.

These kind of things are easy to tweak but it doesn't happen. The players look worse for it and so does the team.
