Player Cristian Romero

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He was solid after the yellow but yeah pretty bad start to the game. I think it was more of a testament to Theo Hernandez's quality though, that player is the best LB in the world in my opinion

Just gonna leave this right here...

Not an intervention he needed to make...could have just continued to backtrack while staying inside and let Skipp handle it...there was no danger here...but I guess WC CBs gotta do what WC CBs do.

Can be a good defender but starting to feel like we're overrating him because our other defenders are so shit. Piss poor and weak on the goal another yellow and could of been sent off again tonight.

dont know what the big deal is with him getting the yellow. hes acted on a heavy touch. you want your defenders going hard into challenges, you dont want your CB's to be pussys like dier who can be abused by attackers because attackers know they are soft pushovers that dont want it.

lost a header to a good player whos no mug physically, no big deal. if that was dier losing the header and romero in diers place would they have scored? i dont think so. romero gets a lot closer to the ball and stops the shot.

That foul was a bit too orange for my liking considering it wasn't a crucial part of the pitch. Shit for their goal too.

Got his act together for the remainder of the game tbf.

Just hope that we get someone strong and cool-headed to play alongside him ASAP.

Bang average defender wouldn’t look out of place playing for Leeds, Everton or Southampton. Consistently gets caught out of position hence the lunging tackles and tonight was anew high when he got bullied in the air by some French kid 2 stone lighter than him.
never got the fan base love for him other than he is slightly better than what we have.
End of the day he wins that header there is no goal for Milan.

Probably my choice for MOTM today, I thought he oozed class. West Ham were dreadful today but that shouldn’t take away from his performance.

Only actual CB in our back line really. I still think he has another level or two to go. Injuries, poor teammates and his own lack of focus has held him back so far.

Great today. This boy plays right on the very edge which needs every tackle to be perfectly timed or it's a red card. Today he was spot on in every challenge. He still scares me sometimes, but that's who he is. Great performance.

Dominant today, probably his best game in our shirt. If he picks a better pass on a couple of occasions he had charging forward, he’s the unanimous MoTM.

This team is a couple more CBs away from doing something special.

Great performance today, couple of great tackles smashing through their players.

Plus he was one of the first getting involved with Declan Rice's silly little antics at the end. Would rather him on our side then not on our side.

One of his best complete matches in a long time.

Love that he seems to be taking control of the line. Basically playing RCB and CCB when he felt like it.

If he can stay fit and give us that level of performance (or something close to it ) most games we've a very strong chance of top four. We'll score enough to finish ahead of Liverpool and Newcastle, it's whether we can keep goals out at the other end that will decide it. I love him at his best but not convinced of his week-to-week consistency quite yet.. hopefully he can keep going from here and relax with the cards a bit.
