And would. be a fucking great signing to compete with Udogie in that LB spot.

Dunno what his quality with the ball would be like for a team at the other end of the table, but whenever I've watch Wolves this season, his name is constantly mentioned by comms.... Always involved.

The difference in performances from last year to this year are so clear.

It’s not down to a change in ability or form… last season we played like cowards and the only fun Romero had was taking a kick at another player. But now Romero is enjoying our style so much that he is going entire matches without feeling the need to foul the opponents for pleasure.

he would of been hugely frustrated with the shit he had around him last year. blokes winning world cups and then at club level has eric dier as a Cb partner! talk about torture

Rio talking about VdV saying that he's calmed Romero down.

Fair point imo, Romero no longer feels that he has to get to every ball first due to having poor defenders around him.

You always want the back up FB’s to be more solid than spectacular. It’s why Davies has lasted a decade here. Ronseal.

True.... I think Destiny has the above attributes too though...... He doesn't play like a wannabe winger. He's a solid footballer that could slot into MF if called upon.

I think it's lazy punditry from Rio.

Romero will always play with the aggression. He hasn't calmed down. He's just playing within a system that gets the absolute best out of his strengths. He's allowed to be brave on the ball. As a team we're not just sitting back and allowing teams to run at us. This means Romero simply isn't engaging into tackle after tackle after tackle every single week. Frustrating himself.

Yup, because he is not playing next to a massive liability, resulting in Romero having to do the work of 2 defenders every game.

I can’t believe Spurs fans doubted him. You could be Franz fucking Beckenbaur, but struggle with shite like Dier/ Sanchez partnering you. You’re effectively doing a 2 man job because his partners have been so atrocious. Finally he has a quality CB partnership and Romero now looks the world beater he is.
