ermmmm his shit clearance contributed to us being under the attack that they scored from.Imagine if Johnson had made a mistake costing us two points yesterday. The thread would be radioactive.

What a stupid comparison. Yes, Romero made a mistake. But he’s been our best defender for 2 years, is first choice for his nation and won the fucking World Cup. Johnson has done nothing approaching that.Imagine if Johnson had made a mistake costing us two points yesterday. The thread would be radioactive.

Does that explain the difference in reactions to the first game of the season? Obviously one player is better than the other but just concentrate on yesterdays game. What a stupid comparison. Romero made a mistake but otherwise had a good game. All of our offensive players ex perhaps Madders were guilty of not scoring / creating enough clear scoring chancesDoes that explain the difference in reactions to the first game of the season? Romero made a HUGE mistake which cost us points and has received little criticism. Johnson played a below average game and has been murdered.

In the blame game , Johnson and Son much more to blame for two dropped points than Romero
Seems like Romero gets alot of love/pass even though he makes some egregious mistake and received too many suspensions due to cards throughout his Spurs career.Does that explain the difference in reactions to the first game of the season? I still remember that Chelsea game, where he had to miss 3 games which changed the outlook of our season...
23/24 = 3 game suspension due to red card
22/23 = 9 game missed because card suspension.
21/22 = 14 games missed because card suspension.
26 games suspension in 3 years of EPL football...
I have no doubt he is a good player, but sometimes he looks out of it. He doesn't play like he plays with Argentina.
Where the fuck did you get those numbers from?
I'm not one of his most ardent fanboys, I don't think he's the hotdog defender some do, certainly not in the box, but according to this (Cristian Romero - Suspensions & absences) he's missed 2 games inn 21-22, 0 in 22-23 and 3 in 23-24.

You've nailed the problem, he's been our best defender in a team leaking goals all over the show. And he's caused plenty of them. What a stupid comparison. Yes, Romero made a mistake. I think he's a good centerhalf but not a great one. I don't care what Messi thinks, I was and remain baffled by Spurs fans who had him ahead of Toby Jan and hillarously King. I agree with the bloke who said but for the shortness of tenure he's level with Gough. I think he is a classic case of recency bias. But I'm adamant that Romero VDV Udogie Porro Sarr Bissouma are ALL good enough to mount an assault on the EPL title. I think they are to a man being made to look considerably worse footballers by a system that exposes them in a frankly insane way. I think a change in system and three class players we would cook.

Which fits with me saying they are good enough to mount an assault on the title. Not in this system though. As for your ten goals them stats out of context are very cherry picked. That back five has conceded just 10 goals from open play when on the pitch together...
And tbh, I don't think the majority of those goals were a case of being exposed within a system.
