Yeah... Ange has been holding him back for at least 18 years the bastard

Seriously made up for the kid. What a moment. Great to have something good happen in the midst of so much negativity

I have known about his talent for sometime and have regularly mentioned him as a potential star of the future in various threads

Surely someone on here is claiming the above , if not can I say I called it

I'm impressed Hercules.

fyi, Ajayi was first spotted training with the Spurs first team by youth watchers in July 2023 - so a full 18 months ago when playing for Spurs u18's.

He was awarded his first pro contract less than a month ago - well deserved based upon his performances in a poor u21 team this season.

He is of a stocky build so difficult to knock off the ball although at just 19 (Birthday in December) he is still not fully physically developed.

Aside from playing the winger role he played last night he can also play CM.

But I'm sure you knew all that !

And what a great goal last night - great direct run, a 'give and go' pass with Scarlett (directly out of Spurs academy playbook) and a shot at almost 90 degrees to his direction of travel to fool Elfsborg GK and defenders gaining vital seconds so GK has no chance. Perfectly executed - but he's scored similar in the past for u18's and u21's

These kids Moore Olusesi, Adijay have been the best thing about this horrible season. I'm going to throw in Bergvall defying the premature write off to become an EPL player.

The crazy thing about the season is that Gray doesnt even come to mind because he has played so much and has been so integral to the team

What I would say about Bergvall, Gray - whichever talented youngster - is people should fuck off with prematurely writing any player off after a few games let alone under 20's - These are kids, it takes a second and the only thing they should get is patience and encouragement.

Like any grown individual that sits there and slags off an 18-year-old while they are doing their best to compete and make a career for themselves, in my opinion, is an asshole.

Is he rated as one that could break into the first team without a loan like Mikey Moore and Williams-Barnett? or likely to go out on loan next season?

Seems really humble and patient for a 19 year old. Madueke and Edwards were already chomping at the bit and making moves because they didn't see a pathway by 19.
