All the owners of these clubs use their own funds from their own various companies and back pockets to fund transfers. Even if it means losing profits. They know that spending money can be a good thing and making the right investments win trophies long term even if it means profits are down.

Levy and Joe literally use player sales to buy players. Its all in house. Gross spend means fuck all. There's no improvement when you lose your best players or do not improve on the squad you have when you are peaking. Its a rinse and repeat job. We buy a set of players. Young and with resale value. We do not make adjustments when there's a need to push on. We ultimately fizzle out and have to rebuild. It's the spurs life cycle. Difference between Liverpool and spurs. They saw the problem and spent heavily to push them To the next level. We would literally be in their shoes right now had we made the right calls at the right time and had ownership that saw the value of buying heavy to get the right player even if it sometimes meant a negative net spend. IF YOUR INTENTIONS ARE TO WIN TROPHIES AND BE THE BEST FOOTBALL CLUB

Thats never been the Enic, Levy, Joe Lewis plan. Never will be. They've played their part to modernise us but eventually we need to be sold on to more ambitious owners who will push the boat out now and again to win us something. It doesn't have to be mad, but it cannot be as dogmatic as the ENIC approach, which is all about making profit for its offshore investment company.
Name one owner (with the exception of City)
That have spent there own money and not expected to get any of it back.

Owners might put their own money in to a club but it goes down as a debt that the club has to repay.

See Chelsea owing 1.75 BILLION to their owner

Off the top of my head these are transfer sagas we went in for and ultimately missed and ended up with Ryan Nelson and saha.

Luis Fabinho
Moutino
Hazard
Damiao
Willian
Aguero
Berahino
Grealish
Mane
Prime llorente
Pjanic
Forlan
Berardi
Dybala
Fernandes
Higuian (allegedly when he left Madrid then again before Chelsea)
Giuseppe rossi
Loic remy
Wigjnaldum
Suarez

There's probably hundreds more we had the chance to sign but ultimately failed. Many over pennies. It even nearly gave levy a heart attack buying Scott Parker. There were times when spurs looked like title winners over the years but lacked that final push, and instead of bringing in great talent, opted for Ryan Nelson. Harry redknapp and pochettino both worked miracles with fuck all investment. We continue to be a money making scheme, whether it be transfer sales and net profits, high ticket sales, bollocks nfl deals, or champions league TV money. But our owners will never push the boat out. You'd think you'd realise that after 2 decades. No matter who is the "head coach" you need to buy strategically at the right times. So many missed oppurtunies. That's why our club has collapsed. The Poch players had never left to give. How many years has it been now that we've gone without a proper striker to compliment Kane?? It's a joke. And you all blame the managers for the wrong tactics 😂 heard it all with redknapp. Single handedly took us to the next level but peaked when no new signings were made to take us to that pinnacle, and was deemed inferior and tactically inept, didn't rotate enough. Same bollocks with Poch even though he performed magic with our squads over the years.

Our owners have plenty of money. They arent in this business to win trophies. It's as simple as that. They are investors looking to make money off of tv deals, revenue, CL money, facility renovations, transfer sales using the cheapest methods in doing so. There's a reason we only buy using money from sold players. Nothing comes out of their pocket. Then they hoard the CL money and TV revenue putting together squads from mid table foreign leagues in the 20m range depending on transfers sold.

Yes they are investors, their job is to improve us as a club and leave us better than they found us which, they have done massively. You completely ignore all the new infrastructure they have put in, why? Cause it fits your narrow-minded agenda. 2 finals and 2 semi finals in the last 5-6 years on the pitch as well.

0 trophies in 10 years.

1 in 20.

If you are at the game try telling those around you that Levy's a cunt ... be interesting to see how you get on, if you're near me it wouldn't end well.

What the fuck does this even mean?

It means in the past 10 earth years we have not won a single trophy of association football, a sports game in which two opposing teams made up of 11 homosapians kick a spherical ball around a grass field trying to score in opposing rectangles made up of nets and posts, more commonly referred to as "goals" or "goal posts". the winner is the team who scores the most "goals".

Edit: had to add opposing incase there was any confusion

I see , we have gotten to 3 finals and 6 semi finals since 2000, your choosing to base your opinion on trophies won, which we have been in positions of doing so. We have been competing against richer teams, with more pulling power in that time, now we seem to be getting into a position of trying to compete with them as close as we can. These seem to be variables you choose to ignore, again to either suit your agenda, or your brain cannot handle multiple variables and you simply say "we trophy won nil, we trophy won nil" on a repeating loop, Im not sure which it is.

Years of CL money. Years of TV revenue. Years of ticket sales, all on a shoestring budget where we have barely bought anyone that hasn't been funded by player sales.

Levy and Lewis are absolute masterminds at making money. Winning actual trophies, not so much.

Which is pretty much the same amount as the world record breaking profit we posted the year we shafted Poch and signed no-one

Tottenham post world-record £113 million profit

Now look at them and look at us.

May as well close the argument now, guys.

Again pick and choose what suits your agenda, fucking ridiculous, literally the last line,

While Tottenham posted record profits, they have borrowed heavily to finance the new stadium with the loan increasing to £537 million compared to the initial £400 million.

The repayment of these loans in the next years accounts will reduce that profit, and who knows that profit could be put back in to servicing these loans. I swear some fans have literally no clue, and suck up every article like a sponge. If ENIC wanted to increase their profet they wouldn't have went to the bother of locating the new stadium when they did, the logistical nightmare and expense of rebuilding on the old location and being ambitious enough to try it in a season is totally wasted on some.

What the fuck does this even mean? You are ignoring the rise in stature, the rise in revenue, the training ground, the stadium? We cant compete properly until we have these things behind us.
You're saying these things need to be in place before we can win the FA cup or league cup?

Every single club in the Premier league seems to be able to spend and invest except us. Its the same propaganda that has been said for years by the same people.

There has been many opportunities where spurs have been in glorious positions and had the chance to win something but Levy decided to be too clever and we've lost out over pennies.

Levy is the hardest man to do business with, to the point where other clubs balk and think we're a joke.

He's not able to show flexibility. He takes an idea and runs with that idea and shows no compromise or ability to adapt. When it's one man calling the shots it's always going to be like this. I'm not asking the club to spend billions. But to make some financial sacrifice here and there at the right times that's ultimately going to benefit us in the long run. In the same way Liverpool have realised this. Which is why we need a DoF again. I heard we have one now?
