Yeah, really sad stuff and very depressing.

Sure, the police in this country aren't intrinsically racist though.

As for him as a player, sorry Danny boy but that ship has sailed although I'm not sure he's really any worse than Ben Davies.
True, white young men with flashy cars around here never get pulled over :mourfacepalm:

There is racism everywhere but Danny would feel victimized if he was singled out in a line up with 9 year old girls. Hardly the right person to make this point behind...

Not never but not routinely as Danny states, it’s his lived experience no need to sneer
I’m no admirer of Rose btw

White working class men are 100% victimised and discriminated against. Just five times less than there black contemporaries. In triage you treat the most mortal wound first. Once we sort that we certainly need to fix this. It's not either or. There is a mountain of statistical evidence to back up what he says...that said can we just sell/give away the bloke now

Now let's see, is this because black people tend to live in places where there is 5x more crime, hence 5x more police, or because the police just stop all black people on the street?

The problem is the high amount of crime in these communities, which results in police having to police them more frequently. The feelings of victimization is a symptom. You can not treat this by treating "profiling", you treat it by treating the underlying crime and social issues that have caused the "overpolicing".

Love this story

"Danny ‘hang on a moment, I have The Sun on the other line’ Rose is not vaguely part of those plans. "

Rose is not training with the first team (and maybe not with anyone at Enfield) the Newcastle deal collapsed and Danny has since been offered to anyone who will take him, Spurs have a 3m salary liability for a player they know will get no playing time under Mourinho. Anyone willing to pay the transfer costs and pick up his 60k a week salary can have him. His agent is looking for a 1+3 year contract, that's his current year plus three more years on a similar salary, that rules out 90% of possible buyers simply on price. It seems nobody that can afford him wants him. The club is willing to consider a loan deal but would prefer just to get rid.

but the problem with 'lived experience' is its like an arsehole, everyone's has one and it interacts with reality in a very unreliable way mainly because there's a human brain driving it.
(Edit: not driving the arsehole) :moursad:
