Ex-Spurs Player Danny Rose

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

His final ball has indeed gotten better, but his movement off the ball and his timing of runs and/or the team's movement to open up space for him and Walker has improved even more, which is just a plain deadly combo :pochohshit:
Never rated his ability to cross the ball in the air (as with Walker), but they both now appear to be aiming to get the ball into the box and then cutting it along the ground to a teammate.

Clearly working, considering that's how we got our third goal!

I remember going to a u-21 match years ago back when Rose was still playing as midfielder. Remember being underwhelmed, especially considering the fairly large fee, we paid, considering his age. Mason also played and looked like someone who'd get bullied in school, let alone a Premier League football ground!

The standout player by a mile that day was David Hutton, currently playing for Kings Langley in the Southern League Division One Central!!!!

Agreed he has been brilliant, teams cannot cope with his pace. His final ball has also gotten so much better, he is the best LB in the Premier League for me.

I just love the entertainment value of his physicality - how the opposition feel they have to tackle him up on the stands five times a game, the summersaults, the sprints and his gung ho contributions to our trickery-trick-trick combinations on the left - he looks and Plays like a lightweigt NFL running back

I was definitely one of Rose's most fiercest critics back in the day but I have to raise a glass to him (and Pochettino) now. The level of improvement he has shown is simply staggering.

What impresses me the most about him is how strong he is on the ball. He can tussle with anyone and still stay on his feet. If he does fall to ground, he gets back up straight away. Quite a tough nut. Having him flying up down the left wing pushing people about can really causes panic in the oppositions defence.

His final ball could be better at times but it's a minor grumble for me.

What I noticed in today's game is he's become a more intelligent footballer. Doing smarter things with the ball and making smarter runs. No brain farts like he was good for in the past seasons.

He hasn't made brainfarts for nearly 3 years now. Even this year, there were people questioning him despite him being excellent last year. The season before he started well under AVB before injury and the season before that he won player of the year at Soton. Spurs fans have a habit of picking out certain players and attacking them - he was treated like shit by many and he deserves a huge amount of respect for how he has responded to a lot of unfair criticism.
