Out of all the critique you can use for Deki the one about him being injured a lot just doesn't fly.

He's been injured thrice since joining. Missed 10 games during the 22-23 season. The foot injury this season that has seen him miss 7, and now. Not counting the week that he was sick during the 23-24 campaign that saw him miss two international games.

He's slow and one footed, but over the past two seasons he's missed less than 10 games for club and country.
 
He is a bit slow and one-footed, but OTOH he is physical, committed, and a potential match winner (we've seen it many times when he's been one of our best two or three players in matches).

I would like us to keep him. Think he will do better under a competent coach. If we spent Chelsea money wages he'd be a squad player, but the fact is we don't.

My bad, I thought he had another spell on the sidelines and missed something like 30 odd games for us in total, but yeah you're right.

That said, I can recall a fair few games where he did play but looked unfit. But that's also the way he plays & moves about.

It was suspected that he played through a injured shoulder back in the fall. There was a game were he landed quite badly on it and had to come off. And looked quite cautious in tackles and shielding the ball for weeks afterwards.

If we keep him, I just don't wanna see him on the wing again...or playing CF. Even as an 8 or 10, he's let us down plenty. Finding the right position for him is a challenge, especially in attacking areas cause he's just so damn slow and one-tricked.
