Played far less than Gravenberch or VDVWas definitely burnt out pre injury. Played way too many minutes and ran way too many KMs during that injury crisis
When we both qualified read through the redcafe forum and they were all saying that deki is the one they're worried about
I think we need to see what he is like when we have an actual manager next season
Slow and fire crotchedI think we need to see what he is like when we have an actual manager next season
I get your thinking, but I don't believe we'll see that much difference. He'll still be slow, ponderous, shy/crap at shooting, losing possession plenty, making weird decisions, getting injured every other month...I think we need to see what he is like when we have an actual manager next season
I think that goes for the entire squad. Well, almost all of them.I think we need to see what he is like when we have an actual manager next season

But any excuse for this lump...
Yeah your probably right , it will be interesting to see what these players are like when we don’t have a Australian Buffon in chargeI get your thinking, but I don't believe we'll see that much difference. Out of all the critique you can use for Deki the one about him being injured a lot just doesn't fly.I get your thinking, but I don't believe we'll see that much difference. My bad, I thought he had another spell on the sidelines and missed something like 30 odd games for us in total, but yeah you're right.Out of all the critique you can use for Deki the one about him being injured a lot just doesn't fly.
He's been injured thrice since joining. Missed 10 games during the 22-23 season. The foot injury this season that has seen him miss 7, and now. Not counting the week that he was sick during the 23-24 campaign that saw him miss two international games.
He's slow and one footed, but over the past two seasons he's missed less than 10 games for club and country.
It was suspected that he played through a injured shoulder back in the fall. There was a game were he landed quite badly on it and had to come off. And looked quite cautious in tackles and shielding the ball for weeks afterwards. My bad, I thought he had another spell on the sidelines and missed something like 30 odd games for us in total, but yeah you're right.
That said, I can recall a fair few games where he did play but looked unfit. But that's also the way he plays & moves about.
If we keep him, I just don't wanna see him on the wing again...or playing CF. Even as an 8 or 10, he's let us down plenty. Finding the right position for him is a challenge, especially in attacking areas cause he's just so damn slow and one-tricked.It was suspected that he played through a injured shoulder back in the fall. So then did Opta. When he got injured, he’d played less and run less KMs than Gravenberch or Van de Ven?
I do believe you made that up
