Ex-Spurs Player Dele

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think Yacob deserves some credit actually. I know he's a dirty, niggly player and he went out to do a job on Alli but he could of hit the deck and writhed about, then it could of been a red card, suspension and possibly losing the game. There's plenty of Yacobs out there, so young Alli has to just wise up.

Yes he could have which possibly highlights that there wasn't much actual contact and looked much worse than it was.
But yes still wrong and next season we will see a more mature player!
Youngster at the mo and we all do silly things when we're young.

Spurs fans should stick by their players and not The Sun or journos who support, Woolwich, Chelsea and West Spam! Delli Alli getting a 3 match ban is the WORST decision in history of football and a scandal.

I bet Roy Hodgson is furious with the FA for harming the England team of who should be a national hero treated so shabby by the press and the corrupt FA.

Tottenham also get teh worst refereeing in the entire league!!

It is 100% the correct decision.
The English press absolutely love the kid, too much so in my opinion. Whilst there is no denying he is an incredible talent, the way he is bigged up in the press doesn't always reflective some of his performances. The fact that Eriksen, a far better player and wasn't even nominated for YPOTY kind of encapsulates the situation.

I hate that kind of destructive cunts, but at least he didn't roll around like a lil' bitch when he got 'hit'.

At least we aren't victims of an FA conspiracy, like Leicester.

If you were a Spurs fan then you would not be spouting this bollocks!

Who gets worse refereeing than Spurs you pleb? Woolwich and the Chavs go down "screaming" and get up a second later, yet they never get criticised by the press for it, and always get free kicks easily, while Tottenham get fouled and don't get nothing!

Yet you fail to acknowledge it is his attitude displayed (and by the rest of the team) is what has got us in this position in the first place, you know competing for the title, something we haven't done in 55yrs. We are a team of hard, tricky, bastards, what the fuck is their not to like? We are where we are now because of this and because of this we will have players suspended, this is brilliant not something to moan about but something to embrace.

I love Alli, he is a revelation. I love his exuberance and energy, his athleticism stretches teams, always moving and dropping into space or charging into it but Dembele, is better than him, Eriksen is better than him (and IMO is without doubt should be YPOTY), Kane is better than him. Without Dier we don't have the same control so whilst Alli is a better technically than Dier, Dier is the platform in our shape and allows us to control midfield and therefore more important. All of these players are also more consistent performers, rarely scoring less than 7/10. I probably would select Lamela ahead of him too if push came to shove. Alli lacks this consistency and has even been on occasion (thankfully only a handful) a liability, all of which I accept in him, just as I accept that he will every season be pinged for disciplinary issues and long may that continue.

We are tactical foulers, we know exactly what we are doing, we collect yellows like they are going out of fashion but never a red (I've jinxed it now). Yet our defenders hardly tackle let alone foul, they stay on their feet. The likes of Alli are instructed to do what they do, it is an integral part of our play, as I said earlier take a look at the Poch videos on YouTube he was a nasty bastard, Poch has already said he likes this side in Alli. Given what you have seen this season and how we have coped when other players have not been selected and others fill their position and we continued to play in exactly the same way I am at a loss to how you can be so nervous that because he doesn't play our season falls apart.
I suppose tonight we will see how we will cope without Ali starting or coming off the bench.
Yes, we are more than a one man team but that one man at Stoke for example. Set up Eriksen chance that hit the bar was an outlet up front when Kane came deep and provided with chances from Eriksen and Kane, one which he scored one which he missed. He then put Lamela through with a lovely ball for Kane's 2nd.
Kane's 1st goal was individual quality. Yet apart from Kane's very first chance, Ali was central in every other chance we made and goal we scored.
Everyone has a role in the team. We are going to miss Ali simply because we have nobody else who can do what he does. If he wasn't important he wouldn't have played 49 games this year missing just 2 league games ( exc the ban) the 2-2 & 0-0 draws at home to Stoke and Chavs.
Mason is not going to fill that role. Yet he is the closest thing we have got.
I don't even think Mason will be put in that position by Poch.
I think he will play Chadli on the left and move Eriksen inside. We will then be minus a chance maker and a goal scorer. Chadli at his very best was not as influential as this kid has been for us this season either defensively or offensively.

I totally agree about the attitude shown by the players this year, but I understand the annoyance with his ban as it was something he could've controlled - I'm happy to accept it, he's young, got wound up, lashed out. With the tactical fouling in mind, similar acts can then become a hindrance.

I'm not sure but it might've been against Palace where he got booked for throwing the ball at someone - once he's on a yellow he then couldn't say take a yellow card to stop a counter attack as he's walking a tightrope because he lost his cool.

It's a shame for him but we'd suffer much more without Dembele or Dier, he's had his moments of brilliance but recently I've felt he's been a bit of form. Don't get me wrong I'd still want him to start every game, but at the moment I think we can put Chadli or Mason in instead and not suffer too much.
No, only in goals and chances created.
