Ex-Spurs Player Dele

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Just adds to the sadness.
I'm not sad when I think of Dele, I'm glad I got the chance to see him, one of the best players to play for Spurs in the +50yrs I've supported the club. Miles ahead of Ginola for example, who on his day was unbelievable but he only played 100 games and scored only 22 goals for us. In contrast, Dele played in 181 and scored 67, by far the better contribution to Tottenham than Ginola. But I bet if you did a pole of Spurs fans Ginola would be rated higher though, that's what makes me sad.

Dele was a world better for us than Ginola.

Completely different planets.

Yes mate

Not every stellar player has to have a 15 year career. Dele was wonderful and achieved more than almost every pro footballer

Sad Doctor Who GIF

Tragic.

He should be the main man in our team now.
I dunno if it's tragic, he's made a ton of money and is hopefully getting the help he needs with his other troubles now.

But definitely what might have been. Some of the things he did at his peak were reminiscent of Bale - a threat to create a goal from anywhere at any time and in the most mesmerizing way.

30 years from now there will still be people talking about that goal.
