Lazy lazy defender and a bang average player with the ball at his feet. Looks cumbersome now and has no real desire for the game.

people seem to have this weird idea hes good on the ball lol, not seen it myself, they must have seriously low standards for what makes a player good on the ball. dont even get me started on his actual defending, positioning, and awareness.
He’s shit on the ball. I hate how when a player has space to run into whether that’s a wide player or midfielder he plays it straight to them or slightly behind. He makes the game so slow. Poor player.

He is not as good as we thought he was and he has a incredibly lazy streak (why is he not even making a challenge on the Forest goal?), but Ange’s system is wasting his attributes.
He is a bulldozer of an FB who should be running up and down the flank, charging into the box from out wide. Old school Danny Rose style. Asking him to come inside and play intricate little passes is fucking stupid. That’s not his game.
So many times he will charge into a crossing position, hesitate as he takes a second to fight his instincts and remember his managers instructions, then come inside and give the ball away trying to do something fancy. It’s pure insanity from Ange to ask him to play this way.

He's been ruined crap coaching over played repeatedly injured it's the fate awaits VDV. This is what the inept system will do to prospects.
Ange essentially asks his fullbacks to be additional central midfielders in possession with those underlaps, while expecting them to continue to perform their defensive duties like traditional fullbacks out of possession. This requires a very precise skillset featuring great passing, vision, physical attributes and defending.
These fullbacks do exist, but they're like unicorns. I can't think of many. Lahm? Alaba? Either way, Udogie and Porro do not belong in there. They're closer to the wingback type that'll exploit the space in transition, delivering crosses while also providing some kind of defensive cover. To the extent that they're falling short of outlandish expectations of the manager, they're struggling. So I sympathize with them to a degree.

My point was, when he's sitting on a big 6 year deal, that's him made for life.

He was my No.2 signing out of all of them after Madders tbh after their 1st season.
Yes I get that was your point and it may be a factor.
But It's a catch 22 though, because he was probably on "peanuts" up to that point, which in itself would be demotivating comparing himself to other first team players e.g Porro.
I do think the weird role he's meant to be playing under Ange is the crux of his slide.
Let’s see him under a new coach who can set a team up to defend properly before we write him off.

He is not an inverted full back but he can fuck off because he doesn’t show any enthusiasm for the game. He’s a lazy boy who jogs about far too much. He’s in a privileged position playing for this club so the bare minimum is hard work,desire,intensity and enthusiasm. He shows fuck all of that and I can’t get behind a player like that. Johnson is another who plods about half hearted that I can’t be fucked with.
We spend fortunes travelling the length and breadth of the country and we deserve more from what we are seeing. Guys like Udogie and Johnson don’t deserve what we give up for them. Fucking done with trying to stick up for them but it’s gone too far for me.

No real competition which encourages poor, lazy play.
He’ chooses not to sprint nowadays. Fuck him. Both full backs cost the goal yesterday. One because of the system we play which I can excuse and the other because of a lack of desire and pride to stop a goal which I can’t excuse.
When a fan of your standing starts calling players out then it’s time to take note and get worried.
And you’re right. The fans such as yourself who invest heavily into the team with all sorts of resources do deserve more.
