Yes- for 40m. Emerson is playing out of his skin, and Spence is showing what you have deemed "serious talent". You don't think maybe we'd want a do-over on the Porro deal despite him only arriving recently?
Emerson started playing so well exactly when Porro arrived. Coincidence?
Djed is looking a serious talent but playing in a far inferior league.
Porro is one of the very best RWBs out there. Give it time.
When I said that Porro hadn't played enough football for anyone to know he'd be a success, I was mocked.
I suspect people who were very confident he'd walk into the team, are now having a wobble in confidence.
paratici rarely errs on youngs.
at Juventus are discovering now what paratici has built over the years: barrenechea, fagioli, miretti, iling-junior, soulè have all arrived in the first team.
I think the lack of trust in paratici is the main mistake conte did here: he didn't trust gil, sarr, spence but I bet they will have a bright future.
ignoring spence has costed us 45M, that we could have spent on other targets like a GK or a CB
Deliberations over Spence or Porro seem less important now Royal is playing so well
quite interesting that as soon as he got here Porro was able to get a start, something Conte never afforded Spence. And maybe Porro is better I don’t know, but it seems to me that we may have just wanked £40m up the wall so Conte can have his oneupmanship bollocks. Spence is quite raw but I’m not sure he would have had the same mare against Leicester. Would have been much better to have spent that money at CB - if there was someone available

Udogie will hopefully add some serious competition to those three... one of them will surely be moved on (Sess???)
Personally, I'd free up Udogie's slot by moving Perisic further forward as back up to Kulu... he's a much better attacking player than defensive a one...

Some of the feedback I've read on Spence in France is he can lack defensive intensity/tracking back etc.
Sess will be kept as he's HG.

his lazy swagger will always divide opinion. Just seems like that's his style but can see it frustrating coaches, teammates and sections of the crowd. Unless every game is a blinder he will draw criticism justified or not.
Not sure what the future holds for him. He could just disappear into the lower leagues, or because we have invested so much, abroad somewhere, never to return...

General feedback on Porro is excellent going forward, tracking back/defending is the weakest part of his game.
Generally for all footballers, its easier for younger players to attack rather than defend, defensive nous gets better with age/experience

This one has the feeling of when we just saw walker starting to sharpen his claws when elsewhere on loan

Yeah I totally get that. Just seems odd that we sign another RWB with glowing reports of attacking prowess but question marks on defending and he gets to go straight into the team. It’s a total Conte power play.
