It's fair to assume that Tuchel would prefer to start a fully fit James if possible..... At least til Spence starts to unlock his attacking abilities a bit more.

Never said YOU did mate. But a few have. Think they are just fans of Porro ( as am I) just think its obvious Spence has a ridiculous ceiling and can become close to a complete fullback.
Bit frustrated for him atm tbh. As much as he'll be chuffed to finally be getting a chance to establish himself at the very top; none of AP, TF or TT have given him (positional) license to prove his attacking game yet.... (although in fairness to TT tonight; that's been more about Saka's play).

It's been in Football at every level forever. Bantering your team mates has always been part of the game. The only difference here is it's public, but then it'll all be forgotten by the masses, whilst BJ gets his own back on Spence.
Far too much scrutiny on everything these players do, whilst forgetting they are youngsters with a sense of humour.
I defy anyone to say they've never embarrassed a mate in public.

Quite a tough decision for tuchel. Take off your Tottenham hat and it’s clear James is a much much better player than Spence. But the guy cannot stay fit! Close to zero chance he plays and keeps fit for the 40-50 games Chelsea have left before the World Cup! Spence I think will get the nod! Good to see him crossing the ball in a bit more today.

I do understand the nature of banter. Stuff like making the worst player train in an orange coverall. Cutting clothes up. Stealing car keys. Nicknames. I’ve heard all the stories you have.
I maintain that this was different. I’ve never seen such a public pisstake of a team mate before.
Maybe I’ve just missed them all. Seems to be a bit of an idea on here that this happens all the time. I’d love to see a couple of examples. I fear I may have a long wait.
Spence is the new Kyle Walker. Basically can kill a winger and probably a bit better on the ball than Walker. Spence at RB and Livramento at LB (who is injured right now I think) would be the ideal situation, Lewis-Skelley ain’t ready, he is ok but not the level yet. James is amazing but as you say it’s pointless if he can’t keep his fitness up.
