If your granny had balls… you’re creating a narrative that didn’t happen, you even added *trickled in* for your own drama. It’s see through, what IF Ange got us top 6? What if we had been in the Champions league instead of the EL? There is enough narrative on football forums at the end of the day it’s much more productive and worth while to deal with the facts than a story that isn’t reality. I’ve said numerous times if hadn’t won Europe I’d be looking for a new manager.
I construct my views on the matter considering the entire time Postecoglou has been the manager, I won't flip because of one particular match, like you said you would.
Johnson's goal was a scuff of the side of the ball that trickled into the goal, he didn't place the ball with any accuracy or blast it into the net, he was lucky the way it bounced off of Luke Shaw, the game could have easily have gone the other way.
You're going on like something amazing happened, and it's caused you to change your opinion about the manager. We've beaten Bodo and the worst Manchester United side in living memory. The fact that both United and ourselves even reached the final just goes to show how weak the competition was. The only decent side we had to beat was Frankfurt to reach the final.
Spurs winning was amazing, you seem to be making excuses for a win. If you can’t see the speed and reaction to get on the end of that, I really don’t know what to say. It was an insticnt finish. To know where he was and where the goal was at the last minute should be applauded. One European match on the back of a European campaign, winning us a cup that we are strongly linked too, in a time where we have won fuck all in nearly 2 decades yes I think he deserves it. Do I think he can win us the PL? No, do I think anyone is in the next 5 years no. Do I prefer a trophy to 4-5 years of top 4-5, right now yes I do.
