Player Dominic Solanke

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Some really well taken goals here. Too bad he was starved of service most of the season.
I think he’s kind of an unnatural finisher who won’t ever set the world on fire banging in 30+, not a bad one, also not a great one, maybe like a 7/10.

At the same time Spurs fans are thick and we’ve been spoiled mightily by Kane, Son, Defoe, Berbatov etc. over the past decades. Solanke is a perfectly decent finisher and he does a lot of thankless work that raises the team’s overall effectiveness.

I hoped he would get 12+ EPL goals but my guess was he would score 10.
Finished with 9 which was good considering his and other's injuries.
Virtually any striker who plays in the PL and takes pens will get 6 plus goals .
9 and 3 assists is below the average - on a mins per. It's not a surprise - it's how he has performed throughout his career.

If he gets 12 and 4 assists next season - it still won't be good enough - but of course there will be loads of excuses and we will get " he does a lot of stuff off the ball ".

Signing Solanke condemned us to poor attacking play.

Which is why we finished 5th without him and 17th with him.
It's as clear as mud .
It's much better to have a striker who runs better without the ball than with it.

We could get £100m for him now - after the season he has just had
What were Liveroool and Chelsea doing letting him go?

And btw - the one of the two bits of good play I thought he did last year. Turned out to be nothing of the sort.
The cute perfectly weighted chip it looked like he did for a Kulu goal - was actually a deflection against the head of a defender

Yeah, Solanke was the reason out attack was poor, he got tons of service from Johnson, Tel and Son all the season, can't understend why the goals didn't came.

Mate a huge part of the reason we finished 17th is that he was hurt and we had no coverage for him. When he was in the team we were much more cohesive in attack.
