Player Dominic Solanke

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Big money and risky transfer but hopefully it turns out well. Now Ange has been well supported given that he also got BJ last season and a number of other transfers. Time to deliver persistently.

I obviously wish him well and he is a good player but We also need to strengthen other areas too so hope it's not the old Tottenham solution to a leaky defence just go out and buy another striker .

No Chris Armstrong had scored 23 or 25 goals for Palace the year before we signed him - and looked a decent signing. Sadly injuries reduced his effectiveness after one season.

Also had the unenviable task of replacing Jurgen Klinsmann and was also carrying the burden of being Spurs record signing.
That is LITERALLY history repeating itself!

Solanke had one great season for Bournemouth... ✓

He is essentially replacing Kane (albeit a season later) ✓✓

Is our record signing!! ✓✓✓

Either we never learn, or our luck HAS to change!

Hard to get worked up at the fee. 57m puts him on par with Ndombele, Johnson and Richarlison.

This is not new territory. He's also Prem proven so I don't think it's risky.

I like the signing as he's probably better and more reliable than Richy and between the two of them we have good cover. I fancy Richy to go on a tear in the EL while Solanke takes care of business in the PL.

(I want it that way - backstreet boys)

Tell me why
Ain’t saying that he’s messi
Tell me why
Ain’t saying that he’s Harry
Tell me why
Ain’t saying that he’s Mbappe
But Dom Solanki’s here to stay

Excellent video from this chap as usual. Any doubts (like I had) watch this. Plus it has a bit on why he should help Ange with his tactics. And backs up some things I’ve been saying we lacked last season up front which makes me happy.

edit: just seen it has already been posted, but worth doing it again for those who missed it first time around, like me.

Hrytn Hrytn this is the video I was talking about.

yes the video shows lots of good stuff, But that is one season (yes under a new managers system) what about his other seasons
You can only go with the data you have.

Do you judge Salah on his time before Liverpool?

Or Kane based on his loans before he broke through?

Solanke has only had one outstanding PL season, but it's his most recent. Under an attacking coach. With him getting better as he went on.

It's a risk. All transfers (well, most) are. But he's a proven PL goal scorer in a limited market. At least we know he will score goals.

terribly unlucky with injuries with us

some of his Palace goals were absolute stunners

Very quick and a belter of a shot
