Player Dominic Solanke

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

There’s dragusin in this video doing weights in socks with no trainers on. How’s that safe?!?! The players aren’t being looked after properly.

Mate, I know we all want to blame someone but that’s a reach.

And Dragusin didn’t get an injury. Maybe they should all be lifting in socks for all we know. I did my personal trainer qualifications years ago and the trends change all the time. There could be a very good reason to lift without shoes

None of the players seem to have decent form in the gym. I saw a personal trainer complaining about that online last week.

This is actually something I was discussing my son over Christmas.

We thought/ think in the future AI will have a big part to play at professional/elite level. Unless every single player from development upwards (u23) has their very own personal trainer watching them every second they are in the gym it’s impossible to “police” form.
As you fatigue your form drops. We know most of these players are somewhat fatigued when they hit the gym!!

And generally people don’t always concentrate fully on every repetition to the level say an Olympic lifter would.

With an AI trainer you get could be watched 24/7. Every moment recorded, and instructions on how to perfect form in real time. Huge cost investment obviously.

One way AI could change elite level sports. (Might already be being done at sone American spirts teams I imagine)

Solanke, Kulusevski, Porro, Dragusin, Gray have played none stop, every three days for months. They are visually exhausted and their form has dropped... surprisingly lol!

19th of January, the squad on its last legs adding Solanke, Johnson and Werner to the list, we have signed a 21 year old goal keeper.

On the flip side, our new stadium has generated one of the highest ticket prices in global sport, relocated friends and family all over the stadium killing any chance of atmosphere and completely removed concessions for life long Spurs fans yet, still no cheese room

Solanke didn't even fucking score against Tamworth, what makes you think Lankshear would have been a better option off the bench that him?

Hindsight merchant
Someone got up on wrongside of bed.
He would have done as much as Solanke did and Solanke would have been rested. Young hungry striker that should have started, with a point to prove.
Get down off your fucking high horse btw and be a bit civil.
Wont cost you anything

I hate to break it to you but Solanke didn't get injured because he played against Tamworth.

Players bodies don't break down because of one match, they break down because they're constantly playing and have no adequate rest, go and have a look at his mins he's played this season, an injury like this was well on the cards.

Imagine if we would have been knocked out against Tamworth whilst not having Solanke on the bench, that would have been gross mismanagement and a sackable offence, you would have gone after the manager and rightly so so all you're doing now is speaking in hindsight.

Also asking me to be civil after you're mocking me with the sarcy tone, yeah you can do one 🤣

Some clubs will definitely be already doing that kind of thing to get ahead of the curve.

Yeah you’d think RM and the like will be ahead of that curve. I know someone who went to work for derby when they essebtuallly copied RM and their training ground protocols. Before PL teams did.

I watched the NFL Netflix quarterback series. Was interesting to watch how Patrick Mahones physically trains. One on one coaching essentially.

Don’t really think football has moved that way yet unless players are rehabilitating.

Although QB has very different movements to the other players on an NFL team so it makes sense they train very differently.

But normal white socks don't provide any grip and stability which kinda matters when lifting weights.
Yeh - I was thinking about proper barefoot.

I guess it’s like the Wild West in that gym at the mo- apart from Sonny and Ben D who’ll be doing exactly as they should, no doubt, whether they’re being watched or not.

The rest of them…not so sure.

The serious players will definitely have their own trainers at home. We know Kane did along with his own chef and also Son has his own physio at home too. They’ve so much money that there is zero excuse for them not to be spending it on improving. Even Emerson Royale was reported to have spent extra money on rehabilitation and training facilitates at home.

Agree.

In the summer I said (as did some others) that we needed another striker. Too many on here trotted out the same guff. Crucially the club baulked at buying a 2nd striker. Well look at where we are now

We were in Europe, so common sense dictated that we have 3 strikers of quality, presuming that Richarlison is one of that 3. We had 2, and mostly 1. You get what you deserve.

It's now for the club to make a bad situation better, and fcuking quickly.... or else.

Well - that doesn't sound dystopian at all...

Imagine all the data being sent to Levy in real time. :cautious:

Solanke getting a significant injury was always going to happen... ridiculous amount of work he does and contact he gets, while others trot around stinking the place out.

Others need to step up it's as simple as that because we are not buying another CF with Richarlison fit again

IF he makes it to Feb I would be astonished, but there is zero chance this mug is going to be our “head coach” next year. In my honest opinion, Levy has to act following today’s defeat, but it will ramble on until we are all begging for Mason again. Right now. I would take Mason and Houghton rather than this twit. Although I am not yet begging.
The injuries, I think, are going to be the thing that saves his job. The squad is in such disarray that the argument will be that he's the victim of bad luck. I will be very surprised if he isn't the coach at the start of next season.
