Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It looked like a good partnership with Richi. We go long, one wins the header and the other picks up the second ball. Old school.
right now, thats our best way of attacking sides. we have to face facts, we have some fucking shit players, especially in wide areas. have them two up top and just get the ball up there to them and they can cause havoc physically. the scum are winning the league playing rugby....

The cunt ducks out of the NLD with a tickly cough, and now has a 'small problem' and is going to do another sickie for the game tomorrow so he can put his feetup and watch his shit fucking Manga cartoons.

'Small problem'? Bollocks. He's a malingering, sicknote cunt who is clearly not up for this. Sell him at the first opportunity.

Somehow he's always mysteriously injured with something pathetic when the big games arrive. No wonder we are where we are with twats like this in the dressing room.

Wow. Just fucking wow

I think Solanke is the type that thrives for certain type of football under a certain type of manager.
At spurs.... he seems lost.

Not really.... We just don't service our STs very well.

Despite this however; hard work prevails with Dom (& Rich*). The lad works his bollocks off and has scored one every 141mins so far this season....... Last season 1 x G/A every 141mins.

(*Richy currently 1 G/A per 152mins & 1 G/A per 134mins last season.)

Of course these aren't elite numbers; but if we were able to play through the 3rds properly, even RKM would likely score more than he has for us.....

And this:

"The 28-year-old will be bidding to extend an exceptional scoring sequence on Wednesday night, as he has scored in each of his first three Champions League appearances for Tottenham this season against Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt and Atletico. The only previous English player to manage that feat is Real Madrid star Bellingham, who netted in each of his first four for Los Blancos against Napoli (twice), Union Berlin and Braga in 2023-24."

Looks like Tuchel thinks Solanke overtook Watkins for second choice behind Kane

Hopefully Watkins reacts to that snub on the weekend.

Solanke has a mentality issue but he is a far better all round player than Watkins, and I suspect he would be good in a big squad with less expectation. Only on the basis he seems quiet and non-disruptive.

Solanke needs to be fit for Sunday ir there wiuld be ZERO point in him beung selected for the England squad.

I recall you thought Bissouma would be good for us. I questioned it at the time, for similar reasons and you rebuffed in the same manner.

It's fine. We disagree.

Solanke is a good player. The reason he isn't the striker he could be is mentality in my opinion.

As stated, I think as an understudy Solanke is freed up to deliver. Less pressure.

What’s wrong with his mentality?

Baring in mind, this was a Chelsea and Liverpool academy wonderkid that then didn’t make it and everyone wrote him off.

He worked his way back up from lower leagues to the premier league, scored 20 goals and now he’s an England international.

Hard to do that with a mentality issue, no?

Solanke has the ability to be a 20-25 goals a year player, and could be at a smaller club.

With us and as the main man I think the burden is too hard for him to carry. Just my view.

He is abetter player than Thiago at Brentford and many other strikers, but something prevents him from showing it, and I'm not talkking injuries as opposed to something between the ears.

Solanke and a top striker would be devastating for us.

I don't even understand the arguments. I think much of the squsd is beset by issues around mentality, whether it is their own which they bring with them or collectively.

Ww are desperate for a manager who changes it for the better.

What is your view based on?

A good question, as we should all ask based on what.

Perception, looking at Solanke and other clubs, the transition from smaller club to big club. Injuries and games missed. How demanding Solanke is in games of his team mates. Leadership.

It's really difficult to pin down and it's absolutely about my view as opposed to someone else's. I might be wrong but it's my assertion.

I think Solanke has the game and the talent to make a bigger difference for us than he does. The reason he doesn't is in my opinion, mentality. Nothing else.

Case in point. Last season. Europa final. Fluffed his one chance. Calmness under that pressure. Absent .

It's weird because Kane also falls short, but only on the very biggest moments. This season Kane and Bayern might just surprise.

Tbh, from that, I’m not getting that it’s based on much more than a feeling.

Injuries have been Solanke’s issues for us.

His performances when he’s fit are the reason he’s ahead of Watkins for England now imo
