The weakest link in this team and by far. The CL and top games is where he’ll be found out. The team won’t be able to carrier him in those games. Very average player in defence and attack and he cannot cross to save his life
 
He was brilliant against Southampton but has flattered to deceive going forward pretty much every game since. I still think he’s a good defender (today was a poor showing) but as a wing back we need more from him and I don’t think he’s currently capable of that. Spence or Doherty have waited on the sidelines for too long now, it’s time to let them have a crack.
 
Jan TW priority has to be a RWB, Emerson is a joke just had enough off him , wastes every chance going forward, crossing the ball will be something i believe he will never master even to the level of an u15s standard. What makes it worse is that the only viable replacement in essence is D'oherty pretty much like for like ... I'd rather see spence have a go, but Conte seems adamant not to play him, reminding us once a once in pressers that he was a club signing not his own ..

I’d argue that Doherty is the complete opposite. Emerson’s strength is defensive work and athleticism but is dreadful going forward. Doherty is not the best defensively but is strong in the final third. I also would like Spence to be given a shot though, I really like what I’ve seen from him so far.
 
if he isnt dropped after tonight then him and son have some strange thing over conte. its time for a change the perfromances are fucing dog shit. emerson is ok until he gets final third and the problem is this system requires a wing back who can cross a ball and be a threat and hes far from being capable of that. time for a fucking change
 
He got absolutely done on the second goal, but he was decent for most of the match. He was more of a goal threat than either Kane or Son. Should've been off when he got the yellow, he's been playing too much football without getting any rest and I think the fatigue showed towards the end there.

I said like for like due to them not being good enough at the end of the day, both their massive defects makes them a liability regardless of who we play, even crap teams, its a big weakness and one that everyone looks to exploit
