Saka started good but faded as it went on, I think we need to take Sterling off and bring on Foden

Well surely the WAS a chance. But hopefully he gets a few more and can bury one of them.Oh do fuck the fuck off. Marked by 2 all the time and no one creating ANY chances for him.
Yep. First 10 we were terrible, too deep and very timid. We've pushed up 15yrds or so and with wingbacks. We haven't created loads, but it's been Germany's defence under more pressure than ours in the last 25mins or so.It's been fine, the issue is that the wingbacks were playing too conservative early on and the CBs were not progressing the ball enough. It got better has the half went on.
It's why you shouldn't play a dependent striker then. How are folks missing this 2+2?Not when you have Saka, Sterling, Rice and Phillips passing to you.
Wasn't a chance 8n the same way Werner's was. Kane buries that...but no one plays those balls because we have 2 fucking donkeys in midfield. Rice looks fucking clueless.Well surely the WAS a chance. But hopefully he gets a few more and can bury one of them.
100% agree. The point of the system is to score off set pieces. It's the primary goal scoring mechanism for Southgate sides in tournaments.
Agree, there is very little quality in the middle of the pitch to pick that sort of pass. Luckily England have about 5 players on the bench with that sort of quality, unluckily, Southgate...Yep. its a mixture of two things, one there is nobody to feed him the ball, secondly he is hiding. On the few occasions the ball has gotten wide look at his position, instead of being centre of the goal in the most likely place to score, he is hiding behind a German player at the back stick, every time so far we've got it wide on either flank.Kane getting slated.
I'm defending him to my mates out of Spurs bias but he's not looking like a world class player at all right now.
mate i think theres more chance of me winning the lotteryFoden , Grealish and Sancho all on the bench come on Southgate go for it this half! 4-0
Let’s do it
He has been surrounded by 4 most of the time.If we actually watch Kane, he makes runs but is never getting the ball!

Agreed, although I wouldn't phrase it that they are there for the taking, they are defending well, hence we haven't created much, but they are certainly under loads of pressure. From a neutral (kind of) point of view, England have been on top thus far. The only concern for English (and obviously Spurs fans), is that England might have just a small glimpse of lack of concentration that the Germans can capitalise. But, at the moment, Germany are on the back foot and there for the taking.
Well I'm glad that's working. The point of the system is to score off set pieces. It's the primary goal scoring mechanism for Southgate sides in tournaments.
The yellow cards to the midfield pair may force Southgate to change it up a bit regardless.England probably the better side last 30mins. Two midfielders on yellow could be an issue, Phillips lucky not to be sent off. Kane coming into the game a bit, but you'd bite the hand off City for 150m. Maguire excellent.
