but them figures include the dodgy sponsorship deals? which is why city is top?Abso fucking lutely.
Although they also have dodgy sponsorship deals the same as City.
EUFA/FIFA are toothless tigers.

Thought so, thanks. Easy to say all is rosey from afar without incurring personal time or cost. See you later Comical AlliIs there a correlation between a fan who's first game was in 1977 and who went to every game for nearly 15 years, and watched us lift trophies in the 89s and early 90s before moving countries and people having common sense ?
Oh, my bad.
I didn't realise that you can only have an opinion if you're a ST holder.
Right, every one who isn't a ST holder delete your accounts now.
Now clearly you like me want trophies but many fans are not interested in the domestic cups as stated a few pages back. However where we differ is you just moan about the past whilst I am more interested in rectifying that and just throwing money in transfer fees or changing the owners is not the only way.
As I believe from a comment Mourinho made there is little incentive to win a cup in the Manager’s contract. Therefore Levy/Paratici need to insert an attractive bonus to win a trophy in Conte’s contract and see if the attitude changes. The real desire to win a trophy needs to come from the Managers and players. I do not want fringe players selected for the Portsmouth match as it has led to our downfall too often. Play Spence against Palace not Portsmouth. If he fucks up we have many matches to recover top 4 as we did last year. Fuck up against Portsmouth and we are out.
I do accept I am helping keep the debate going and to some extent regret starting but it is difficult to not respond to replies.
Derived from "individual needs child", a cruel schoolyard insult. Not at all politically correct. Someone who's "not quite normal", an idiot, spaz, etc.No mate I think foul vote is a bit dramatic, but it's your choice
Not really, but them figures include the dodgy sponsorship deals? which is why city is top?
im saying more so on PSG, they have their bent deals included in the revenue posted and are still low considering what they are shelling out.Not really,
City are top from a combination of dodgy sponsorship deals, regular CL money and the huge amount of PL TV money.
There has always been excuses as to why we fail to deliver, but for a club of our size it's bad which is why other clubs and the media laugh at us.If we had won a couple of FA / League cups we would stop being the laughing stock.
The reason we get mocked so mercilessly is because we act like we are big player and a top 4 club with the best stadium in the world and the England captain as our striker but Wigan, Birmingham City & Swansea have won a big trophy since we last did.
That is PITIFUL and is the reason we get mocked.
If we had a couple of FA/League cups to our name and were pushing top 4 every season we would be seen to be punching our weight. Nobody expects us to win titles over City and Chelsea with these owners.
But these owners can't even deliver that.
Is it easy for you to invest all that time and money so that Enic can cream it off the top.Thought so, thanks. Easy to say all is rosey from afar without incurring personal time or cost. See you later Comical Alli

I’m frustrated. This is the third big missed opportunity to win the league and it’s drifting awayIs it easy for you to invest all that time and money so that Enic can cream it off the top.

Why don't you do something about it like not line Enics pockets....
Oh wait, I've just remembered.
You're only another loser keyboard warrior bashing away to try and get some validation in your life.
There 6th, behind the real giants, and City who are fake.im saying more so on PSG, they have their bent deals included in the revenue posted and are still low considering what they are shelling out.
I’ll happily add them & considering we have built an entertainment centre they’re pretty sparse. The additional costs are huge & you have to wonder if they are worth it , knowing there are limits to what we can actually do & having a purpose built NFL stadium that didn’t secure all London games is worrying , as many have mentioned , Wembley is far from ideal but the NFL seemed happy enough to stage events there . Long term a franchise outside the states is never happening , logically for a start & that levy has openly said he wants the Super Bowl there is laughable .Why are you omitting all the other things that happened there.
"Events" aren't only concerts.
We've just seen a sell out crowd for boxing.
Rugby has been played there, NFL open days etc.
Don't fucking lecture to me on what is wrong or right.Derived from "individual needs child", a cruel schoolyard insult. Not at all politically correct. Someone who's "not quite normal", an idiot, spaz, etc.
That's acceptable to you then.
The complaints in this thread are entirely pointless, mine included. Levy is going nowhere, neither is the club. Our role in the Prem is to keep things interesting for the big clubs. We aren’t designed to be one of the big boys. In and around 4-7th place and the odd semi-final, maybe a couple finals every 20 years. That’s us and that always will be us unless the club capitulates entirely. At least you can say with Levy/Enic the capitulation is unlikely.
I’m not even sure the Prem is structured for Spurs to be any different anyway. Especially now the Saudi’s are buying a seat at the table through Newcastle.
yea that window was meant to be our van dijk and allison one. the one that pushes us right up there, was a massive flop.If poch hadnt spunked £100m on lo Celso and Ndombele things could have been so different. Although maybe he had already lost the squad after the CL final
100% that summer was a big one.
Looking back what a fucking awful transfer window.
should have invested the Jan prior before it was ablaze and the PL form had tankedyea that window was meant to be our van dijk and allison one. the one that pushes us right up there, was a massive flop.
I do get your point.I’ll happily add them & considering we have built an entertainment centre they’re pretty sparse. It has the feel of a bit of a white elephant , maybe we’ll bid to hold Wimbledon next year
Maybe it was the threat of the cheese room & the NFL thought it may look to favourably to the Green Bay Packers ( gridiron pun )
And I worked with children with disabilities.Don't fucking lecture to me on what is wrong or write.
FWIW I have an autistic granddaughter, I felt as a grown man, you should have a bit of balls to cope with criticism on a football forum, clearly I was wrong that you couldn't![]()
It is like you slept through the Sugar years. From the conception of the PL in 1993 until ENIC took over in 2003 we were a joke of a team. Average finishing position was 11th/12th. We did not come close to qualifying for Europe most years (1 foray into Europe with George Graham who dropped Ginola for a key game we lost). Yes we won the '99 league cup, but back then the big teams fielded youth teams in that competition to focus their first team players on the CL / PL / FA Cup (it was before big squads). We were involved in more relegation battles than we were finishing in the top 4. ENIC had a helluva tough job to get us back to being a big club again after Sugar had totally ruined us.You say we started from a low base, which I can't dispute, we were shit. But when ENIC took over we were, at that point in time, one of the most successful clubs in England. I believe we were still the record FA Cup winner and probably 3rd or 4th all time in the honours list.
In the years since we've been well and truly pushed out of that. It's starting to feel like we could go the way of West Ham and it could be 40+ years with absolutely nothing.
At least they know what they are
As I understand it we get a ~£2M rental fee per non-football event. We also keep food and drink sales (which can be a similar amount for American Football games). We now make ~£6M per home game, and our match day revenue is reported to be close to £120M per year. In 2010 it was £20M per year. That is a 600% increase. In the same period Man U's match day revenue increased ~1%, and Woolwich's' ~5%.I do get your point.
When I first heard "£1m per event" I was like "is that all".
It's why the stadium went massively over budget and was a year late.
Levy should have been penalised for that, not receive a bonus.
I think it works along the lines of ;
Spurs receive a rental fee, and the hospitality revenue.
The artist/agent etc receive the ticket sales.
But it's there now and it can't be disputed that it nearly trebles our match day income.
