It genuinely impresses me. Even if I wasn’t Levy Out I definitely wouldn’t have the strength to be in the trenches for them week in week out, even after being pummelled by Newcastle.

People have different opinions, it is how it is.

Those who don't want ENIC gone don't think every decision they made is correct but there's a bigger picture isn't there. I'm not going to change my mind on the back of a shambolic performance at Newcastle in the same way I'm sure you won't be suddenly "Levy in" if we won 6-1 today would you?

I’ve just plucked that travesty of a game from memory and that was coming up for 4 years ago! Two of those are still regular first team players (Davies has made 26 appearances and played more minutes than Lenglet so hardly a bench warmer).

Last season Dier (and Davies) played well. One season. One. Out of … how many years has he been with us? He was shite before that - possibly thanks to his appendix situation - and shite since. What’s he still doing getting first team minutes? He should be on the bench. But, of course, there’s nobody who can really replace him because we didn’t get a CB in to challenge him.

And Sanchez, rarely a first choice. When he stood in for Toby (was it?) in his first season he did a good job. I thought he was a good acquisition. Since then, he’s had the odd good game - including a four game run at the end of last season - but otherwise has been the very definition of mediocre. Costs us points when he slides around like a pissed foal. Why is he still here?

We have players on our books who should have been moved on long ago but are still here. Why? Incompetence, stubbornness, short-sightedness and a dislike of losing money on players who should not have been purchased for the sums we paid if we can’t handle them failing. Yes, the latter fact is a product of hindsight, but it’s football and ultimately a gamble. If you’re wrong, you have to take the hit and move the players on or you stagnate. And that’s exactly what’s happened.

Dier, Sanchez and Davies all played a large part last season when we had the fourth best defensive record in the league. We also spent a lot of money (yet to be successful money) on Romero to add to this. I agree we should have spent big on a central defender in the summer just past, but obviously felt the money was better spent on the wide areas, a backup for Kane and strengthening the midfield. Difficult to argue with that strategy several months ago, due to the defensive record from the season just gone. But glaringly obvious now that we are shipping goals every week.

Maybe we just didn’t have the money. Maybe Conte was too strict in his targets. Maybe we just thought we’d be fine. Fuck knows. But I can see the logic. Even if it’s worked out badly.

No because it wouldn’t be part of a pattern of hideous football and results over the last few years.

We get embarrassed every other week atm. The Newcastle result was just the cherry on top of a turd cake.

The bigger picture is the shocking incompetent running of this club on a football level for years. Indefensible.

yeah fair enough, I think there's also an assumption that ENIC in people are happy with this current state of affairs, of course not, it's like Sherwood's tenure at the min but then poch came, nuno left then it was positive again under Conte. I just don't brush 22 years as all the same experience. Ups and downs.

I'm hopeful we get Nagelsmann in and some new defender and a new keeper and we start enjoying our football again.

I don't think that's impossible or unlikely. Maybe that's just me.

I can’t understand why we didn’t go out for a CB from the off. It was obvious we needed one. If we’d shipped out players maybe we’d have had the bunce.

Nor do I. Been very open with saying ENIC did well at running the club for many years but their methods are now outdated. My view is they’ve hit their wall and we’re no longer set up as a club which can punch above its weight consistently.

Or even as a club which ticks the basic boxes like possessing an identity. Every element of the football club, from the youth to the seniors, is completely fucked up currently. They’re tilting all over the place right now desperately hoping something works.

I’m hopeful we will find some level of competency under a Nagelsmann too. And just actually be able to look forward to watching Spurs play. It’s not much to ask with our ticket prices/squad value. I just have little faith over a longer period that it won’t end in tears & never crossing that final line.

But I respect that you still have that faith and put it across in a reasonable manner..

Fair enough. You are more prescient than I am. I thought we’d get away with it as the defence had been good last season. I thought it was more important to strengthen the midfield and forward areas, but didn’t foresee our defence falling off a cliff like it has.

I do agree with the shipping out of players. Even with the lack of money I keep hearing about, I’d have thought our “world class” DoF would have got a few out the door at least.

Is everyone going to finally wake the fuck up and realise we are going NOWHERE under him now, it's the end, it's over!

Regardless of the good things he has done for the club off the pitch and the very few times under Poch and Redknapp that we have seen some form of success, that is the past, it's over, WE NEED FRESH IDEAS!

As supporters we need to send a message we want him gone or risk things getting much worse than they already are.

No more excuses for fuck sake, no more fighting against each other over petty shit, let's pull together for the good of the club!
