Funny that the remaining runt of ENIC apologists who make up around 10% or less of this forum contribute to around 50% of this thread.

Something fishy going on here

Euros, tobacco, garlic and leftover cheese from the cheese room exchanging hands I suspect...maybe some vouchers for 12.5% off the Skywalk too.
Thank God for that - bringing up the quality considerably if these are anything to go by.

We spent 180m under Conte
The amazing thing is, we spent a combined 156 million on Richarlison, Porro, Bissouma, Spence and Udogie

For totally varied reasons (Bissouma hurt, Udogie loaned back, Spence not rated, Richarlison insistence on playing others through bad form, Porro arrived too late) they COMBINED to make 21 PL starts under Conte.

Mirroring the sacking of Poch immediately after we'd spunked out for Ndombele, Lo Celso and Sessegnon.

The club just cannot stop kicking itself in the dick.

Funny thing is, their level of incompetence extends to not knowing how incompetent they actually are. The Dunning-Kruger effect in action.

The reality is that the club's stock was at a high in the summer of 2019 following the CL final. If they were self aware, ENIC would have realised they wouldn't be able to take the club any further and hence its valuation had peaked with a view to selling.

Instead, we are here. I'd wager that they've lost an awful lot in valuation, regardless of their supposed asking price.

They have, but not nearly as much as they'll lose in the next 18 months.

Ok but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Just opened the new stadium (his baby) Levy probably thought we /he would continue to be successful.

Im not actually sure he wants to sell unless somebody offers crazy money.

He always overvalues.

It's not like Ashley at Newcastle who was desperate to get out if a decent offer came along.

Although surely Lewis will have a big say on any potential sale?

Think Levy likes being the guy overseeing a big football club/entertainment complex.

It would make sense that a poster holding a minority opinion is the most active, as they are going to have more people to argue with. Every non-ENICout post in this thread is picked up by multiple ENICout posters.

You should be thankful for them, honestly. What would you do with your free time if you didn't have to argue all day about how terrible Levy is?

That's the thing, a sale of the club, unlike all the transactions we're used to, is fundamentally Lewis' call.

We have no idea what Lewis thinks about anything really.

It is the case that revenue is going to sag for the first time under ENIC. Maybe that changes something.
Selling at this point would be stupid. As equally sure as value peaked in 2019, it's in a valley now. Sure it's possible next season is worse than this season, but it's unlikely.

The only chance of ENIC selling is if they become convinced that the ESL isn't going to come off in the next couple of decades or that our position in it is unlikely.

Who's to say when the ESL comes it will be from a position of financial strength?

I dunno man, it's not like we're having this conversation in a vacuum, there are a lot of PL ownership groups gazing at the exit door.

If you don't have the stomach to see out the collapse of the existing media paradigm, why not just take the W?

They're playing with so ridiculous much house money, there's no way ENIC panic sale because of a season out of Europe. Silly to suggest it as a possibility.

Yeah I get that & if we had got silverware you are probably right. Sacking Mourinho days before a final was very strange.

We spent 180m under Conte but you have the issue of manager v club signings .

It's obvious these type of managers & Enic do not make good bedfellows so they shouldn't employ them.

As you say they need another Poch with extra finances.

Recruitment is a weird thing though, I don't think you should give total control to the manager. Sometimes also you just need a bit of luck.

I was reading something the other day stating Mo Salah was not Klopps choice. Said he was about the 4th choice wide forward on a list they drew up.
Never know what to believe but you can see Liverpool recruiting has gone downhill since Edwards left.

I mean call it whatever you like. The most money Joe Lewis is gonna get out of this business is bailing, right now. Businessmen care about that sort of thing, to the extent they're able to see it.
Just because you say it doesn't make it true. I do enjoy the hubris of a random on a message board banging away about how much more shrewd he is at business than a couple of billionaires.

Might wanna tap the brakes there, friend.

There’s a difference between a speculative money making businessman and a skilled operational CEO. Levy can use his finance acumen to manage cost and make money and exploit others, but he’s a poor leader and would flop at the helm of a Nasdaq 500 company that wants growth, rather cut costs

I would do a better job than pinhead in a senior role of a public company but don’t have the private equity network to make money like he does

Shadydan Shadydan on a yellow, I can only assume for pro ENIC posts? If that's the case I don't agree with the yellow or a red.

People can paint a picture and using “ ooooh look over there , a cat “ as much as they like , truth is we are manageless, looking to have our worse finish in years , aging squad who are severely lacking , no direction , no plan , absolutely woeful to watch on the brink of losing our star & no one seemingly to
sort any of this out . We’re a mess
