Be careful what you wish for, we don't want any Middle Eastern investment because they don't have any morals etc etc.

The Dark Secret Behind a British Billionaire’s “Parallel State” In Argentina’s Patagonia
Joe Lewis made his fortune betting against his own national currency, the Pound Sterling, and then fucked off to tax exile in the Bahamas.

His purchase of a private fiefdom in Argentina is entirely in keeping.

I cannot remember a single good thing he has done for our famous football club.

The only amusing Lewis story I recall, which was an "ITK rumour"" so treat with a pinch of salt, is that one summer our first team squad was invited onto one of his super-yachts. Amongst their number was an up & coming CB, Steven Caulker, who was on the sauce, took a look at the women on board, and declared loudly: "I don't think much of the brasses".

The nearest lady in question was Joe Lewis' daughter, and Caulker was soon transferred out of the club.

This may not be true.....

He also made a fortune when the Mexican peso collapsed...

ENIC owns us not Lewis. Nowhere does Lewis name show on any paperwork of the club or ENIC anymore as far as I know. It was passed on to 2 family members. Lewis has known this has been coming.
I think the ownership isn’t his anymore but a trust for his daughter.
Cheers guys. 👍🏻

So thanks to a general lack of understanding by those with an agenda against Spurs/ENIC/Levy (delete as applicable), the worst that will happen to the club is some really shite PR.

And their owners (even though they are incompetent criminals)
Nope, wrong again..... unless you really do have some quotes to that effect that for some strange reason you're refusing to share.

Anyway, I'm bored now so I'll leave you to revel in the news that brings the name of our great club into disrepute.

Don't forget to keep wishing cancer, death, and violent attacks on Lewis AND his family, all whilst you take the moral high ground.

The pearl clutching going on regards Dirty Joe's dodgy dealing is quite amusing.

Many of those who seem the most outraged said they were fine with us being sold to a Middle Easter slave state, a sign of just how impeccably calibrated their moral compasses were.

Let's imagine that a syndicate of very rich bastards buy Spurs, pledging to Spend Spend Spend. And yay, lo and behold they start spending. If one of that syndicate was then accused of insider trading, do you think the advocates of this new regime would be up in arms at the corrupt business practices on display or would they more likely be all...

I'm all caught up and I haven't seen any pearl clutching or outrage, just resigned gallows humour and 90% people calling out their fantasy 'enic supporters'.

And I respect you, but since you've *seemingly* added to the fantasy bit, I'm wondering if we aren't all just having conversations with ourselves? It would make a lot of sense.

Feel free to point out some outrage, I can't be bothered to go through that shit again! :D

Now we've had 'give quiche a chance', I'm going to dust this one off:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few points: Everyone's perspective 'feels' right to them. It's based on their experience, their filters, their conditioning. You can't argue with feelings. They're special.
One thing to bear in mind when *feeling* like responding to someone who is criticising your views, is that your ego, a grizzled street-plodder to whom the motto "SERVE AND PROTECT" long ago fell into irony, sees someone making a public attack on your opinions as a blasphemous attack on your own pure divinity.
To Ego, their contradicting view is an African American person with a chocolate bar in their hand. Ego identifies the clear and present danger. Ego thinks "HE'S COMING RIGHT FOR US!" and wants to shoot first and maybe replace the chocolate bar with a deadly weapon later. Ego has had a lot of coffee. Ego's wife left it and moved to the West coast. Ego's kid's call it 'Eggo'. In short: Ego wants to prove itself.
The way to 'win' is to acknowledge your ego is just a trigger-happy, out-dated warden, trying to find threats where they don't exist. It's got a life-times worth of ill-informed anachronistic prejudices and it wants to vindicate itself in any way it can. See it. Feel it. And then tell it to stand down. "That'll do, Ego, that'll do. Thank you for your service. Now step aside, the commissioner is talking."
With that out of the way, you are free to take on board your fellow fan's views as a point of reference (i.e. information that you previously didn't have) and see for yourself how it can be factored into a well-rounded and more accurate perspective.
I'm just mellow with the warm satisfaction that once again, what John and I have been saying for all these years in the face of a relentless onslaught and character assassination from the dwindling Levy / Lewis fan club has been further justified this morning.
A bad day for our despicable owners. A great day for our beautiful football club.
And by the way. Ladies don't get boners
Don’t forget me! I have been saying he is a corrupt greedy immoral horrible guy all along. The £££ crash but even worse the Patagonia scandal Spare a thought for the enic/levy fans. They barely go a few months without massive blows like this exposing their heroes & proving them wrong all this time. & then having to make themselves look completely ridiculous by still defending them & having to use warp logic & do 180s constantly to try to put up some sort of defence up.
Levy, Lewis & enic shown up time & time again yet some still idolise them. Over 5 years of being proving wrong on & off the pitch!
Although the thought of the levy/enic fans reading the news today & their heart sinking & mouth frothing does bring a bit of a dark grin to the face!
Sadly these rich billionaires usually get away without it thanks to all the top lawyers & corruption etc. The fact they hoard billions whilst people starve to death tells you all you need to know about these people. Glad I am not messed up enough to spend my time defending & support these types. It’s an odd time we live in where the super rich like bezos & musk have these obsessed fans who won’t hear a bad word about them.
