I’ve never really got this. Levy obviously wants to win. Can he inspire others to do the same? Fuck knows. But I doubt Man City are so successful because Mansour is some great leader of people. They just got a great manager in and spent a fortune on players, who mostly have strong mentalities.More focused on softer, cultural changes. Agree with all of those points but big gap for me is that Levy is a wet lettuce and can’t motivate or inspire - clear strategy to succeed that can be filtered through to everyone
It could well be that people are still voting In as there’s not a viable alternative.I view these people as Woolwich, west ham, or Chelsea fans at this point as theyre the only people I know personally who look depressed when I mention the concept of a spurs takeover

If our players need a strong leadership from the CEO of the club, I’d question their personal mindsets. And question the scout or Director that brought them to the club. Player leadership should come from within the group and from the manager. Shouldn’t have anything to do with a CEO.
Saw someone say this weekend that there’s no way Roy Keane would’ve been laughing and joking with Ed Sheerin like Maddison was. Quite an extreme example, but true nonetheless. Here’s an idea James, practice some fucking corners instead. No matter the message coming from Levy or a new CEO, we need stronger players.
So more of yesterday then... excellentIt could well be that people are still voting In as there’s not a viable alternative.
As things stand, I’m voting for us to continue along being relatively happy with the club getting into Europe and the odd hope of a trophy.
You’re voting for something that may well lead to glory, but has as much, if not more chance, of being a complete car crash.
If we hear of someone pitching up with the cash to takeover, I’ll reconsider my vote. Presently, it’s voting between the status quo or fuck all.
Completely agree. So that means my point of spending money on more established players. Obviously not just on fees, but on wages too.See your point but my feeling is that the general rule of thumb is that mentally strong willed players know their worth, demand success, and high wages (not bulletproof...ahem..man utd) .
There's few examples of spurs consistently swimming in that pool. We instead get players that are more cost effective, less wages, and aren't of the caliber which means that elite teams are pulling out stops to get them
Good idea. Define a wish list of improvements. I would add to yours:Who comes on board with what specific fresh ideas?
I’ve already stated mine.
1. Money to be spent on established players.
2. Full revamp of the scouting setup.
3. Increase spend on the youth setup to allow us to employ top quality management and coaches.
What does your new CEO do differently?
Someone who is willing to increase the wage bill rather than shrink it , after all the stadium was sold to us as the great leveller . The teams who pay the highest wages tend to be most successful over time, not working for United right now admittedly, but did for 25 years. Having said that I’d swap their last 3 years for ours.Over the last few pages, i'm seeing a lot of calls for someone to come in with fresh ideas, because things have gone stale. Sign me up!
What kind of thing are we talking here? What do people want to see happening?
And I don't mean "an owner that wants to win stuff", as thats cheating, because every owner does.
Specifically, what new and fresh ideas are we looking for?
I am obviously aware that there’s nothing we can do and absolutely none of the following will happen. That said:Over the last few pages, i'm seeing a lot of calls for someone to come in with fresh ideas, because things have gone stale. Sign me up!

I’m perfectly fine with investment wherever it comes from. Not fine with bending or breaking the rules though. Even though I know that means we aren’t on a level playing field.I am obviously aware that there’s nothing we can do and absolutely none of the following will happen. That said:
- A complete buyout of the club.
- ENIC and Levy fully removed.
- New ownership that is ruthlessly committed to winning (including a predilection for bending the rules)
- Ownership that is prepared to pay exorbitant agent fees
- Instruction to agents that we are now in the market for a different calibre of player
- A couple of statement signings to underline the above
- Ability to quickly take a loss on underperforming players (no other serious club would stick with Johnson, we’ll have him for years)
Everything else, as is. ENIC are to be applauded for the incredible work they have done on the stadium and the position they have brought us to. But they’re not the ones for the next step.
I appreciate that the above means I’m advocating Middle East or US investment money. I’m fine with that but understand people hate it and wouldn’t want to see it. Football is such a moral quagmire, it seems pointless to try and claim the high road. All roads are rotten and sullied.
Still, none of this will happen. Best we can hope for is that the stars align again, as with Poch and a generation of players. Will be by luck rather than design.
I would just like to see what difference it makes if we have a owner who comes in who says he wants to make us the most successful English football club and he will not accept anything other than winning, I'd like to see becoming Premier League champions on our road map, I just think as a club we need a complete culture change from the Top down , as a fan I want to feel like football is the top priority for our owners, and that they see making us successful as their sole objective!Over the last few pages, i'm seeing a lot of calls for someone to come in with fresh ideas, because things have gone stale. You used to be interesting. Didn’t always agree with you, but you almost always had something to say for yourself.
