Ange is a sacrificial Lamb. Levy not wanting to spend this window shows he's already spoken to someone else. He won't buy anything and claim he didn't want to spend because the new manager has to come choose his players (never happens that way but he's a master at bullshiting).

Mark my Words. Ange is as good as gone

The new football money league is out. Spurs wages down to 42% of revenue.

So rather than allowing us to compete, we are actually less competitive in the new stadium.
But we're tearing up the Deloitte Football Money League, which gains Levy loads of backslapping from the Lewis family trust and all his mates like Simon Jordan and Claude from The Apprentice.

Which we all know is the real quiz.

Isn’t the stadium and training ground a long term plan? Investing in the very best facilities to get the very best from the players?

In any missive that arrives (COYS Daniel) he talks about the wish to compete at the very top.

He’s hired Munn (no idea about his credibility or ability, but none of us do) and Lange (seems to have a decent reputation in the game). Hired a manager who seemed to offer us the winning and attractive football we wanted (obviously hasn’t worked). But Levy does seem to be trying to do things differently. And spending money doing them.

What I’d like to see is underperforming players getting shifted quicker. And replacements coming in faster. I’d suggest those alone would affect the mindset of the players more. Play to your very best, or you’re gone.

I’d also like to see us offer someone like McKenna or Potter (too late now), £5m a year salary to manage our u21/youth teams to ensure we have a pipeline of younger talent coming through to either hit the first team or sell for PSR profit.

100% the stadium & training ground are long term plans but as Daniel admitted himself a few years ago , the eye was taken of the ball , the priorities of the football club . Being honest nothing has really changed since that statement . Was it another false statement or is he genuinely trying to, if so then he is clearly out of his depth .

The other points you make are from someone who understands football , understands planning is required . Personally I’d have been asking Ange why you are bringing in coaching staff that have failed before . Alarm bells would be going off. I’d have hired a guy who has unquestionable excellence in running a football club , I’m not sure Munn is that , he seems more like Clive Woodward

Psychology not your thing ? Professional medical welfare ? There’s a lack of care .

Didn’t you say you worked in finance ? Let’s say your car is broken , I presume it’s a Lamborghini 😉 and it’s broken . Do you wait for it to repair itself ?

Comfort is not just putting your slippers on , it’s procrastination, it’s malingering , it’s turning a blind eye & that is precisely what this club does regarding football

I worked in financial software and my brother-in-law is an opioid addict -

His (Alli's) addiction had nothing to do with being 'too comfortable' at spurs - Their duty of care towards him has nothing to do with HIM being too comfortable.

He didn't turn up to spurs and just decide fuck it this is the life, I'm just gonna chill and pop pills - that was your original incinuation.

"We’ve had plenty of talented players , Dele , Madders , Tanguy etc who see the clubs psyche & put their slippers on ."

Please don't patronise or gaslight me mate - he did neither of the things you said that i highlighted above.

Looking that way, the lack of support is damning

They won't spend anymore money (or any reasonable money) this month. They'll see players returning, the league season is all but over and the league cup is the only shining light, and after seeing Ange win the first leg with a decimated squad they'll think he can win with a nearly full squad.

They won't back a manager who will likely be gone this summer, and they won't back a caretaker manager who will be in the job for a matter of 3-4 months.

Likely be a Poch return in the summer or they'll try and get Iraola. However I fear our time at poaching managers of that level and better is over.

It’s not just him being comfortable, it’s the whole set up

Please don’t assume what my original post was insinuating as I’ve already had to explain different definitions of comfort & you do see the words club psyche in there don’t you ?

👍

You don't need to explain to me pop psychology about addiction and its relation to comfort - the two are not connected and using Alli as an example to push a narrative whilst twisting it so it can kinda fit into what you are saying is not right IMHO.

Your stance is classic contrarian , looking for small footholds to argue a point on interpretation of words and ignoring the big picture
Ok , I’ll make it simpler for you . Let’s take out Dele , even if his downfall was his own & or neglect from the club.

Are you happy how the footballing side of THFC is run ? Are we performing at our potential best?
Do you think it’s a ruthless , professional footballing organisation ?

The bigger picture for me is that I do not believe players just come and put on their slippers - i don't see this happening with the bulk of our players and the ones you have listed are well-known for the issues that come with them - Tanguy, Maddison - you can see similar things said about them from before they came to spurs - so that is an issue with recruitment for me.

I am not happy with the current situation at Spurs, no. Our football and current ability to adapt to the difficult situation we are in definitely lends itself to the idea that we are not ruthless enough but it is also not though, in my opinion, a lack of trying to some degree.

I don think any club goes through 15 years pretty much of Eurpoean qualification and cementing itself as a top 5/6 side without being a professional footballing organisation - In the last 20 odd years we have finished consistently higher in the league more than any other time in our history.

I grant you, since moving to the new stadium, things have been shit and we have been going backwards on the pitch, but in many ways i am happy with the way we are as a club focussing on what we lack for many years to do which is ensure that we have a crop of very exciting players coming through.

Vicario, Kinsky, VDV, Udoigie, Sarr, Vuskovic, Bergvall, Moore, Odobert, Gray are all in my opinion excellent signings with more than just some promise. They are hopefully going to be setting the foundation for a team for our short-term success. Many of the other more experienced players we have signed also, on paper, seem like they should complement those and add some experience but we are not seeing them reach their potential right now - and it is unfortunate but this seems largely due to Ange and his inability to progress the team pragmatically.

Solanke, Richarlison, Bissouma, Bentancur, Romero, Maddison, Porro - there is a team in there.

Can we be run better, sure, could we be more ruthless? Explain how - what do you see as ruthlessness form other footballing outfits that you feel we are missing?

What would add some context to this is evaluating every club's dip, when it happened and why it happened. My guess which is more than a little bit educated due to looking into this is it shows a cycle of players who have been at the club for a long period of time and amassing huge wages, leaving and a new cycle starting of bringing in younger players on lower wages and then increasing their wages as they stay for longer periods. Hence why our 1 year decrease coincides with us moving on Kane, Lloris and the wast that was Ndombele.... and why our 5 + 8 year increases are actually in line with or above the others..

It’s the relative level and the wage:income ratio that is damning of Levy

In this case, I don't really think the club had any involvement in Scott deciding to get paid for his revenge piece after getting fired.

But the Sami Mokbel piece was way too familiar and then this comes out and it starts to look strategic.

Meanwhile all this will likely achieve is put more focus on their lack of action in the transfer window. Even Ange Out fans will be saying fuck your media briefs to blame the coach, go and buy some fucking players.
