Levy has also distanced himself from al-khelaifa by leaving the ECA Board on the quiet. He is head of that and previously appointed levy to the board.
The private investors (and Levy staying on) would probably serve as "proper" distance from Khelaifi's now kinda tarnished image I assume in their heads.

And Khelaifi of course keeps sitting on the ECA board so het gets his own football jollies off.

Levy copping loads of shit now.In fact the only people supporting him all work for the club or lick his arse (SB) or are his chum (Jordan)
So if a new European Super League started up we wouldn't be on the list.

Sonny is an anomaly , the level of superstardom he has in South Korea means with advertising and endorsements he will be at an elite level on income , it’s just not down to what Levy pays him . He is like Michael Jordan in Korea he will have a massive income long after he retires. I go to Korea regularly, he is almost a deity over there .
It wont be anymore. I think countries like Korea and Japan are going to create more and more elite players going forward so it will be more common than before.
Those 2 countries will be football powerhouses in about 10 to 20 years and will be competing with the best.

You’ve said this won’t happen. And I agree with you. But why do you think it won’t?

I’d suggest you could say it’s maybe a logistical nightmare to achieve this and you’d be right. However, I really don’t think there’s enough of an appetite for change yet.

Granted, the Levy Out chants are getting louder, but when I see videos of this happening, very few people are actually singing. It’s weird as I’d think there should be more mouths moving because of the volume, but most fans are just sitting quietly. Can they not be arsed? Shit singing voices? Don’t care?

I’m pretty sure the appetite for change is extremely strong on here, but this does not seem to be reflected in the match going fanbase.
The apathy dumbfounds me with a lot of our fan base tbh - we will see what the weekend protest brings but you’re right there doesn’t seem to be enough desire in the fan base for it.

Also needs to be kept in mind that this forum is the last post for many people, as we’ve been banned from everywhere else. So opinions are very far at either end of the spectrum, no matter the subject.

Almost all the loud voices on both sides of this debate rarely go to matches. Or it looks like that to me at least.

Are match goers more apathetic? Probably. Doubtless used to general mediocrity, with the odd high and odd low thrown in.

So if we were in the top 4 is any of this protesting going to happen?

We all know the answer to that one.

:levylol:

COurse not - the protests and general overwhelming need for most to be involved is not actually tied to their opinion of the chairman in general - its tied to our position in the league -

People hated Levy this much last season - no protests on this scale.

People hated him during the Poch era - but no protests on this scale.

If somehow we didn't lose a game for the rest of the season - all the noise would die down but for the few hardcore ones.

Thats why there has been no change

That’s my problem with it. And why it ultimately achieves nothing.

I read the same things 25 years ago and it did t happen then. It won’t now either. Football isn’t that vital to them. K-pop for example is far more important in that culture.

But we're not in the top 4, haven't won a pot to piss in for 17 years, and invest less of our income in the football team than the rest of the Premier league and Europe.

So what's your point? ...That we should just be grateful and suck it up?

Yes but IF we won the league 15 of the last 20 seasons , won the quadruple 7 times …. Would there be protests ?

: ostrich:

Not really sure what Tony’s point is

Well, let’s see the change protestors keep going when the team wins a few games.

Or will they shut the fuck up like they normally do? Then start waffling about working with the club towards a future strategy that ensures success or some other fucking bullshit designed to keep them invited to join Levy at fan forums.
