WE’RE GOING TO DO A LEEDS !!!

Explode House On Fire GIF

Tiny Dancers & big fat Chadli

It's a shame (in some ways) that he's not still posting his epilogues on here. Used to take a lot of effort to put it into a video.
Imagine what you could do with a post like this and AI in this epoch of internet

40m on Maddison, 40m on VdV, 35m on Porro etc.

Yup

People point to wages as a big factor - and sure - better wages, better calibre of player.

But the most important thing by far is the fit of the player to the team. I think, for the most part, the last 4 years or so we have made better purchases than we did the previous 4-5. No team gets every purchase right and of course we can improve in terms of quality but we are still making more better decisions now than we have done in the past.

In terms of Net spend last 5 years we’re right up there. Only Chelsea have spent significantly more.
It’s a question to be asked of the wage ratio table posting people - we are the 5th / 6th richest club in the country, yet 2nd in net spend. Would anyone bed happier if we were 5th / 6th in net spend and in the same position in the wage ratio table?

Would we all be happier buying cheaper or fewer players, but paying them more? Obviously taking into account that money isn’t infinite.

If you think he seems incapable of doing something, why are you complaining that he doesn't do it?
Seriously, you still want to keep talking about this? :/

If someone is incapable of swimming, it's better for them and everyone else if they don't swim. Perhaps he is capable if he opens his mind to the reality that he hates ENIC more than he loves Spurs, that might well change everything. As it is now, he adds nothing of worth to the forum, he seems (note I did say seems, not definitely is) incapable of posting in a way that is of interest or use or whatever word is appropriate there (I've discussed it at length in our previous exchanges yesterday, let's not cover all the same ground again), he seems to post only to troll. On that basis, in my opinion, the forum would be a better place if he didn't post at all (N.B. NOT because he is anti-ENIC at all - there are plenty of anti-ENIC posters who post in a constructive way).

Perhaps 'incapable' was the wrong word, perhaps I should have said 'unwilling' - but either way surely you get my gist?

I have put most of them on ignore now to be fair because I realised that it was just a zero sum game in terms of discussions.

Its the off season. There is no football.to discuss right now. Again early in last season I tried to engage in discussions about football and tactics etc but was pretty much met with the same nonsense from the same posters relentlessly.
My experience of the forum is different from yours.

I think you've got a bee in your bonnet over pretty much nothing, instead of complaining you could do something proactive about it and put him on ignore. I quite like some of JTs posts, I don't think the forum would be as much fun without him. If you succeed having him not post at all, you'd be making the forum worse for me.

Well, as I said, I'll never put anyone on ignore, because it's important to know what they're saying, whether I agree with it (or the way it's being said) or not.

For you it may be nothing, for me it isn't. For you the forum may be worse without JT, for me it would be better. But that's ok, we've both provided our opinions, we don't have to agree. :)

PS Him not posting at all is absolutely not my prefered solution. I'd much rather he accepted that he hates ENIC more than he loves Spurs, considered that when posting, maybe even started inputting on some topics without mentioning ENIC / Levy, then maybe we could have some genuinely interesting exchanges. Unlikely I know, but that's what I'd most like to happen. :)

Surely the real issue here is that you don't like using the ignore feature. The issue could be solved with the click of a button but you don't want to do it because you want to see what he posts.

I'd much rather that you accepted you dislike the ignore feature more than you dislike his posts, and that you have the ability to solve the issue but you'd rather not.

Yes, I absolutely agree that I dislike using the ignore feature more than I dislike his posts. As I said (several times now) it's important to see what people are saying, especially if they are saying things that you disagree with. People have influence on other people, so when they are trolling, it's important for that to be called out as such. But yes I can see why you would rather I used the 'ignore' button if my complaining about JT puts such a bee in your bonnet. :)

So, anyone got any opinions on ENIC or Levy? 🤔🙄
Tell me about it - I've tried to draw a line under this about 10 times now, I've made the effort to find plenty of common ground with this guy (he has done me no such courtesy on his side), I've said we can both have a different opinion and that's fine, I'm not sure what else he wants from me. I do hope it's not just another poster who will never agree to disagree and intends to just keep 'discussing' until you retract everything you have said and agreed that he is 100% correct about everything (which is obviously not going to happen). There are already far too many of them on here. :(
