No, he hasn't had any offers. The talk with Simon Jordan was suggesting that it's people who don't have money just boasting about buying a stake when they can't afford it.

I tell you what though, if he sold his stake to a bunch of fraudsters (because buying a stake in the parent company is not going to be subject to PL owner checks), then people would be throwing arms in the air about it.
As long as the venkys don't buy us.

I did find it funny that we spent heavy on managers above all else as if the manager could somehow fix the entire issue.

Cheap Director of Football, cheap medical team, cheap players wages but really expensive manager. A sort of 1990’s view of football that an Alex Ferguson could come in and fix everything on his own.

The start point should have been an elite director of football who has a vision aligned with a club that plays attacking possession football. We never did that so here we are.

I remember when the Glazers got Rangnick in and he told them all their issues and how to fix them and they got scared and fired him. Someone like that.
That's a good post and an astute observation.
I've always felt , that as you said , Levy put all his chips on the manager , thinking that managers are sone sort of miracle workers.
He would fire a manager pretty quickly and pay out large compensation and pay top wages to someone like a Conte but neglect or Scrooge out on players wages. In fact this must run across the board because we were/ are always losing sporting directors like Mitchel and Arnesen and other behind the scenes personnel to the elite clubs and even to an NHL ice hockey team.
It's amazing Levy couldn't see the wood through the trees and the bigger picture and seemed to actually believe a manager could solve everything like Poch almost did , despite having his hands tied behind his back. Maybe that fooled Levy into thinking a supposedly more elite manager like Conte or Mourhino could go one step further than Poch without the backing , even though those two managers are checkbook managers to an extent.

Maybe they only spend 50p because they know they won’t be here in the summer

Pray I Hope GIF

But you've been telling us for the last 10 years how Daddy Daniel loves the club and is a life long fan.
So that wouldn't happen would it ;)

And you've spent 13 years begging for him to sell up and leave because of how much you hate him, so surely it wouldn't matter who invested, right?

I think anyone, Tottenham fan or not, would rather sell £1bn of stock than see "The Lewis Family (not ENIC) Ltd" turn it into penny shares through their current trajectory

I think a lot of business experts would say that having a relatively low wage to revenue is good business, It might not be good if we want a top football team but that's pretty much what the owners seem to be doing.

The owners and board are running a conservative ship.

They're turning a 'big' revenue club into a small one. The empty seats are screaming at so many games. I think theyre good at running an entertainment entity that spins money for sure. But I think theyre shit at running a football business.

Levy got sacked... Fucking fantastic... Still celebrating. Regardless of how things look, there is a chance for us now.

Everyone's baying for blood cos of Jan, but I still think the jury's out on the new board.

Last summer was a weird one cos of the whole Levy situation, and Jan, while uninspiring, doesn't make sense as a window to make key headline signings from a position of weakness. We no doubt could've done more, but City are the only top club to truly strengthen with top signings and those were a bloke running his contract down and a release clause - easy deals to do.

This upcoming summer is the first summer window with no Levy, the Lewis kids steering the ship rather than Joe, and a year of the new CEO in place. They've made huge promises, unlike we've ever had at Spurs before, specifically pertaining to paying higher wages, making top quality meaningful signings and spending big. They've put a ton of pressure on themselves to deliver that they didn't have to. If it was Joe Lewis pulling the strings and Levy in charge the club would never be this forthright about intending to increase our wage-bill and spend money. There are reasons to believe this time things could be different - even the salary we offered Xavi is a clear indication we're changing our approach.

Call me naive, but I genuinely do think, provided we aren't relegated, this will be our biggest summer spend in a long, long time and the club will look to make a statement. After what they've said, they've backed themselves into a corner and they will be destroyed if it's just another typical Levy window. They simply have to spend big or they'll end up more hated than Levy/Joe after barely a year. It truly is in their interests to go big for once, especially given our shocking league form for 2 seasons now.

Forest, Villa and Leeds are all upgrading their stadiums to 50k+ and Newcastle looking at 65-70k.

Our competitive advantage is being eroded every year. How long before these clubs overtake us on current trajectory?

we don't have a "current trajectory" the benefits of owning a 65K studium are now priced into the club (once the money rolls in for a few years its then priced in) So the Business folks have to keep looking for new ways to get money in

How are we going to persuade big players to come here if we finish 17th for two years in a row? Money isn’t everything, we supposedly offered a higher salary to Semenyo than City did but he laughed at us.

They have overtaken us as they have richer and more ambitious owners. Being in the CL/high PL offsets a lot of our commercial advantages too. That said, Forest, Newcastle and Leeds are not going to get the events/corporate that we get.
